I've seen the, but I admit, Prince Caspian was a let down for Narnia

Bumping this (sorry!) for the forthcoming Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie. I didn't really like first movie, so never got around to watching Prince Caspian, but will watch this one as it is my favourite book in the series by far.

I have only seen the first movie so far, can't say I was overly impressed (even without knowing the books).

The books have been on my read list for quite some time, didn't get around to it yet

I've seen both and I liked Prince Caspian better.

Okay, so maybe I should give Prince Caspian a try.

Is it a good idea to read the books before watching the movies?

I haven't read the books, but from what I know I wouldn't recommend it.
I read that in the book Susan for one plays a very small role in the movie (appears only twice or so), but is a big part in the movie.

I love the books. Voyage of the Dawn Treader is one of my favorites, so I have high hopes for the movie as well, although I'll miss the lovely Susan.

I already miss Susan. I'd wish with all the changes they made with Prince Caspian apparently, they'd just keep Susan in the third.

I've read about how the books end, and I so don't like that.

The books end was a little shocking.

The ending of the books is a bit shocking? I don't like the sound of that

Well, the first one is on my book stack right now and given how it's not that long a book, I wanted to read it soonish
