Well maybe they just didn't even think about her. It's not like she's always on their mind you know? I guess they thought they had things under control with the bot being there and didn't even think about calling Faith. Who knows where she was.

You think they planned to bring her back like right after she died?

I think so. I know they had a tombstone but in order for people to believe that Buffy was still alive they would have had to use the Buffy Bot almost immediately. Just for slaying of course since she hadn't been tested in the human public until the incident in Dawn's school.

I wonder why they even had a tombstone if they were going to bring her back the whole time. Maybe they had the bot because they were afraid of what would happen if the demon population got word the slayer was dead. They were buying time until it came out.

Well Buffy knew that Faith had turned herself so I'm sure that she told Willow or Giles.

The Gift was written as a Series Finale right? That explains the tombstone.

It was but I think they might have known that they were getting picked up by UPN. I don't know.

I heard that they were aware of the pick up...which is a shame since that ending is more befitting of a series finale

On wikipedia it says:

I was re-watching season seven and the episode called "Help," just realized, the character of Cassie, I think she was based on Cassandra from Greek mythology. Cassandra can see the future.
