Can we please not bring rape into the equation here? The majority of people I've talked to in the fandom do not consider W/T having sex after the mind wipe incident to be rape, because it's not. Nothing was forced in that regard. Would Tara have likely not done so sans mind wipe? Yep, but at the same point, it wasn't as though Willow forced herself on Tara.

That comparison is ridiculous. It was awful what Willow did in regards to Tara's memory, but it wasn't rape.

I agree to disagree.

Let me throw my 2 cents in, I loved both Oz/Willow AND Willow/Tara and can I say how special it is that a character like Willow was involved in 2 of the big romances of the show.:) Audience fell in love with both pairings for different reason.

For me, I felt both were written beautifully which is why I loved it.

For me, the worst storyline for Willow/Oz was the Xander nonsense because I just didn't see the point of it even if I could understand from Willow's perspective the thrill of being taken aback and so happy that someone she loved for a long time FINALLY loved her back and saw her back but my issue with Xander was that he didn't really see Willow as a romantic partner until someone else (Oz) did so I couldn't take his feelings all that serious. From Willow it made sense even if she was hurting Oz in the process.:(

The Veruca storyline pissed me off however, I know that was only done because Seth Green decided to leave.:(

For Willow/Tara, their worst storyline by far was during early season 6, and the issue with the story for me was obviously Willow. No idea how Willow can play with Tara's mind like that after the damage that Glory did to her mind... like people were just messing with Tara's brain.:( After everything Tara went through in season 5, for Willow to follow up with her nonsense in season 6 was so painful to watch.:bawl:

I did view that storyline (not as rape) but as...... I don't even know. lol It is sort of forcing someone to stay with you... and that's not cool at all.
Willow was really having Tara stay with her against her will.:(

That was just an awful storyline for them.
I loved when that storyline ended and they slowly got to work their way back together.

The beginning of their love story was beautiful though even though season 5 was the perfect Willow/Tara scene. I love how Willow was there for Tara after what Glory did and she told her, "You are my always."

If Seth decided to leave the show, then they should have came up with a better storyline.

That is what pissed me off about Willow there. It's as if she wasn't thinking at all and wasn't caring about the damage that was going to be done. It seems to me that when she was with Tara, Willow was at her worst than she was with Oz. I think by being with Tara is what helped her drug/power abuse. The only thing I don't agree with is not considering it rape when the definition of rape is:
unlawful sexual intercourse or any other sexual penetration of the vagina, anus, or mouth of another person, with or without force, by a sex organ, other body part, or foreign object, without the consent of the victim. The crime, typically committed by a man, of forcing another person to have sexual intercourse with the offender against their will. Also, just by doing that, it was clear that Tara should of moved on.

I love how we continue to talk about rape when a mod has specifically shut it down :)

^ I agree that they should have come up with a better storyline because the Veruca storyline seemed OOC to me... probably a storyline of the Oz as a wolf accidentally hurting Willow. And maybe that is what makes Willow know he needs to leave to control his wolf side since he can't believe he'd ever hurt her... or something like that.

With Oz and with Tara she was 2 different people... in a way. With Oz, it was about her being young and the beginning of her learnign wtichcraft but she wasn't deep into it yet and it was more about her relationship. Now with Tara/Willow, they met through their magical connection so being witches is what binded them and than they grew to really fall for one another. However, the huge change with Willow happened by bringing Buffy back to life. When she learned a power like that, she became sort of obsessed with magic and finding out what her limits where and her magic took over EVERYTHING.:( Even changed who she was as a person.

I know the definition of rape and why you sort of see it that way since of course for Tara, she didn't want to sleep with Willow before her memory got wiped from Willow over them having an argument. Instead of Willow having a normal argument. So, I can see why you see it as rape unfortunately.:(
Season 6 really had a lot of terrible storylines in general...

I did love Willow with both Oz and Tara though.

Maybe my problem is me not being as forgiving, and rather me being resentful. :)

Last warning. When I say DROP IT, it means DROP IT. Do not bring that garbage back into the discussion here. This is not open for debate whatsoever.

Exactly. I try to be nice and I generally am all for calm and meaningful discussion. This kind of stuff? Hell no.

It ends here. That's final.

Welll I already stated my opinion and point, so yes, I'm not going any further. Oz&Willow have a better balance and is a thousand times better and healthier than Willow&Tara. :) I don't talk garbage. That is my opinion and that's final.

I think we've all had enough here.
