Bless Gersh for all the promotion! They're trying to raise her profile and I think that's one more nail in the TGW coffin though. They wouldn't be moving that much just for the Emmys, imo. They're prepping the post TGW now.

Maybe we should make a list and send it to her.
Oooh good idea! Damn, where to start??

Why dod you keep calling her AJ? Sure lets put this list together I will hand it to her when I stalk her soon

Its such a wonderful treat to have all these interviews?

I'm going to start by posting this pic, just because!

Quote:
If we say this long enough, we might actually get it
I want Archie on Homeland!! (long enough and all over. I'm going to spread it everywhere! - started on twitter already! )

Quote:
if that worked, we'd have the real Kalinda back for some time now
I don't care! Let's see if if works!

Quote:
Hopefully they won't give her 2 episodes at the end and then leave us with a cliffhang until next season.
And they didn't! Again they gave us nothing. Or better, something, that I didn't like it at all. I hated the way Cary treated Kalinda!!!

Quote:
I am hoping now that Eli is done, we could move to more Kalinda scenes, and good ones please.
They'll probably keep bringing 19.877 guests...

Quote:
I loved that scene, and not because it was the scrap we got in this episode. It was just a great scene. The Elsbeth/Kalinda interaction is always brilliant.
In one of those interviews Archie gave last week, she was asked with whom she'd like to interact more. I have to say that any scene, any little bit of dialogue between Kalinda and Elsbeth is just fantastic!

From all the remaining characters, and I'm not going to talk about Alicia, the only relationships I'd look forward to see develop is Kalinda/Diane, and Kalinda/Elsbeth. Archie mentioned Peter, but I'm not sure about that.

Yes I like seeing her with Will and Cary. Even with Eli. But the way things are right now, I don't see how those would keep being interesting, after what we already had.

Quote:
Quote:
If they don't wanna do anything with the stagnated friendship, give the girl something to do, someone to sleep with, ya know... it can't be that hard!
Apparently, for them, it is. Blake, Cary, Dana, Nick. Every time they have her with someone who's interesting (Donna, Lana, Sophia), they appear once in a blue moon or never come back. Every time we want the damn thing to end already, it's like the plot that never ends!
Sometimes I really wonder how that can happen. I mean, are we that crazy, or delusional, out of reality?? How come the show always manages to screw exactly what they shouldn't? And why do they keep pursuing what is known NOT to work???!!!

They had a great first season. They must know what worked. Then, they listened to the audience regarding the Nick issue. What about all the rest?

I'm not saying they should write the show according to the will of the audience. It's not that. But they caught fans over a few reasons, and now they are getting rid of all those same reasons.

When everything, or almost everything that gained me to the show is now gone, why stick around?!

Quote:
Give the lady some storyline that doesn't have to do with sleeping with someone. Again, let's get those Homeland writers to help!
Oh, I would love to see her in Homeland! And in GoT! Nymeria, right Fluff!?!

Quote:
Its not about the 5 C/K shippers, really. It's just a complete and utter lack of ideas.
And a certain homophobia.

Every time they're bringing a female interest for Kalinda, they have to get her to uncharacteristically cling to a guy, preferably a jerk, though Cary is back to being a good guy, to make sure that the old folks don't get scared. She's not a lesbian, see? She is a puddle with men. She just needs the right... ok I'm stopping there because I was about to get crude but you get my drift.
It's an old male porn vision of bisexuality. And spreading cliches. And just generally offensive.
Can someone please rub this in the Kings face?! Please?!

Quote:
Free Kalinda. It’s a movement. I’m starting it now.

I just read that line in Alex Cranz's review (see Kiki's post). Oh!!! Yes!!! Is there a petition to sign or something? Because I'm game!!! Freedom for Kalinda! Screen time for Kalinda! Alicia for Kalinda! Storylines for Kalinda!
OK, i'm trying to be objective, calm, and rational. Except for the Alicia thing, Kalinda would need her own show.

It's clear that JM doesn't like Kalinda's character. And the writers, now feel they have created a monsters that they can't control. And because they don't know how to handle, they just rather not to touch it, hoping it to die of inanition. And every time we have a little more than a glimpse of Kalinda, it's her own tameless force that provokes it. But is her force, Archie's really, enough for the character survive one more season? I don't know. I really have no idea.

Quote:
Anyone else loved the WTF face on Kalinda when Diane says she's going to marry Kurt? oh man! Only Diane to surprise Kalinda!
I saw it more like a Damn I love her scenes with Diane!

Quote:
I wish I knew who turned down that part to get a pilot on ABC that wasn't picked up
Someone turned down the part?!

Quote:
I'm glad she did though, for many many reasons
Me too!

Quote:
THIS DOES NOT GET OLD!

She looks so good!

Quote:
I need to go with this again... Is Archie taller than Gillian?!

Quote:
Two interviews with Archie for her birthday!
Damn!

I didn't really forgot her birthday, but i wanted to do something to mark it. .... And I didn't

But then we had these interviews, I mean, in the period of one week or something we had like 5 appearances of Archie! I don't think we ever had so much Archie in a row.

Quote:
Regarding TGW: It was the first time I felt like somebody from TGW understood why we (the audience) didn't like the N/K storyline. Not even the Kings seemed to understand what our problem was (they still seem to think we just wanted our flawless heroine back) but Archie obviously understood it and she summarized it very eloquently in this interview. And FINALLY we know AJ's opinion about the A/K friendship. Honestly, I could kiss her feet for what she said. Thank you so much, Archie ! This interview definitely made my day, maybe my week, maybe my summer
Thank you! I couldn't have said it better.
There are many reasons why I admire Archie, and not only for the way she respects the audience, but also because she understands us, and recognizes our commitment towards the show and the characters.
She's not a big name, but she's an excellent actress, and seems to be a good person.
When I read, or watch Archie's interviews, I always feel happy seeing that I wasn't wrong in my admiration.

Quote:
Also, Archie's official site is getting revamped (finally! )
It's still pretty incomplete. There's no mention of her short-films, which I really like, or her works doing voice-over, namely in Postman Pat. But it's looking good!

Quote:
Oh, and in her last one on one interview, she said she just wrapped filming a project in Ireland. Turns out that it is The Widower.
She has been pretty busy, hasn't she?! Goof for her!
Thanks Rista for the info on that film.

The female presenter said "Margolis" instead of Margulies. Or does she think Cindy Margolis stars in this show?

I was expecting a serious interview about Archie's involvement in Rotary International and instead I got practically 5 minutes bisexual exploitation, Archie saying she was "very flexible" and the reveal that there may be more of Kalinda and Lana in bed on the cutting room floor. Did I hear this correctly? WHERE DO I GET THE OUTTAKES?

I'm sorry. I have a weak heart.

I agree that this was one of the most stupid interviews I've ever seen with Archie - thank God that she's good with people.

I found the interview (except for the polio conversation) painful to watch, especially combined with the scenes they chose. It was all about male phantasies, wasn't it? TGW is still a great show and there are so many interesting things to say about it AND about Kalinda, and what do they do? Reduce Kalinda to a man's phantasy. I'm sorry, maybe I don't have enough humor to find that funny.

Yeah. The bisexual exploitation wasn't cool. But it didn't seem like Archie minded it. She fueled it, actually. And she clearly had a good time. So I gave myself permission to indulge my inner dog (b!**#, I'm female). What I've come to realize via the Archie media blitz, and I kinda suspected it before, is that Archie is a broad. At times a bawdy one. She and Helen Mirren would get on famously, I think.

Thank you Kiki!

Even if short, it was still very funny. As for the hosts, clearly they don't watch the show, and only one did the homework, but they seem nice, and funny, and Archie felt good to be there.

"She's flexible, in several different ways. I'll leave that to you to decide what..."

"Whenever I do a scene, I always like to put everything into it."

"Let's just say, I'm very dedicated to my work, and once I'm in a scene I fully..., I let myself go!"

Damn, she is such a tease! And what a naughty, naughty girl!

Yeah, well, it was a 5 min interview on a morning show, conducted by people that never saw TGW.

And to be honest, I think it was clear that TGW was just a pretext to get Archie those 5 min. Plus, after a few great, great interviews with her these last week, what's a goofy interview?!

At the end, if I didn't knew Archie or TGW, what I would retain would be:
- this actress is very beautiful, nice, funny and has a brain.
- If I was a girl I wouldn't start watching TGW because of this appearance or the clips;
- If I was a guy, I might. (why deny it it's true!).
- Polio can easily be eradicated, if people actually care; it takes only 2 drops to vaccinate children, and costs less than a dollar!

You did! And so did I! Since what we get in the DVD's it's always usual very uninteresting, I'm not counting on it. So, we need a infiltrate. So, either through Jill, Danielle, Kiki or Fluff WE NEED TO GET IT!!!!

Like I said above, it wasn't that kinda of show. Yes TGW is/was a great show, and Kalinda one of the greatest character we've seen on TV since i don't know when. But they had not the time, nor the audience for a proper presentation of the show. And honestly, that wasn't why Archie was there. I mean, at the end, the presenter introduced TGW better than Archie herself.

If you mean it in the lustful, voluptuous sense, I agree with you. Now THAT would be a great pair to watch!

IKR? Me thinks Archie has more in common with Kalinda than she likes to let on. Keep up the "Good Girl" insistence, Archie. I'll believe you never.

I actually wasn't criticizing that interview for not being serious. Maybe I should have prefaced my statement that I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't all that serious. Ha! What irks is the so-called journalists not doing their research or even pronouncing Julianna's name correctly. It's your job to know these things!

No? Really? I'll admit from the scene selection and the commentary, they didn't paint the show in the smartest light. Then again, it has dumbed down throughout the seasons. But I know some girls who would watch this interview and tune in for the bubbly lady who looks... umm.. convincing in her role and of course 'dedicated' to her work. And a few film students who would watch for... the blocking! Oh, Jill Flint is perched on top of Archie so nicely! What an excellent twoshot.

Additionally, what the show could use is more men 18-35 watching. Ergo, in accordance with your breakdown, well done Archie!

We've reached that pivotal time in every person's life where we must ask ourselves, what would Kalinda do? (WWKD) Kiki and/or Fluff, make with the knee high boots, get some form fitting leather and GET IN THERE! To the Good Wife archives! Storm CBS Television Studios!

I mean it more in the Brit colloquial sense, risque brazen and very much self-assured. She's minx-y.

Ok. So I see it's not an interview I should watch before bed I've had enough TGW insomnia these past few months!

On the other hand, not to be the devil's advocate but Kalinda wouldn't be treated that way if the show wasn't using her that way.

I invite you to read an objective article on that issue written by Tom Matlack for "The Good Men Project", a blog dedicated to male perspective on many social issues.

A Three-Way of a Different Kind by @TMatack — The Good Men Project

I didnt agree with everything at the time but I fear the show has gone deeper that way since.

Appropriate reaction gif! We will never see outtakes..most likely *sigh*

ETA: The entire beginning of that interview was pretty funny but that guy needed to calm down Though his reaction doesn't surprise me.

On another note, Archie has the best laugh ever.

Kalinda Sharma IS hot, beautiful and flexible and of course TGW uses it as well as Kalinda herself uses it, and of course it is part of promoting the show and Archie. That's more than fine with me. But though Archie seemed to be prepared to the "main topic" of this interview and played along well (I don't know if she had fun or not, she's an actress after all) I didn't like the way this was done.

As long as we live in a world where it's not possible that a male actor's character can be introduced on a Good Morning Show first with his wife and then with a man in bed, and the actor can comment how very "flexible" his character is and how "dedicated" he, the actor, is to his work, there's something wrong and I just find it mysogynistic - especially with that interviewer's remarks (and the two women agreeing to it), and especially when the conversation is reduced to sex (well, and polio). But obviously I'm taking this too seriously and I don't want be a spoilsport, it's just not my kind of humor. Besides, I'm also curious about the outtakes .

Christ. Another interview, this time for CBS 2 Local News. Gersh is really pushing her.

A/K tidbit, Archie says last she heard the writers wouldn't be developing Kalinda and Alicia's friendship. She is still hopeful they'll change their minds.

THAT'S what I meant! I really liked this interview. They had only two minutes more than the morning show but this interview was so much better. It had much more depth and the talk about Kalinda's busy sexual life was much more fun in my opinion, in fact I found it hilarious.

Looks like Archie is not only a wonderful Ambassador for polio but also a great Ambassador for the A/K relationship . (P.S.: It still hurts every time I hear somebody saying that A/K is very likely dead . The only way I can handle this is by staying away from the show - and when I read somewhere that they're continuing the A/K friendship I'll be back in a second.)

I like when you post, Rista. You always come bearing gifts and I'm enjoying the number of interviews Archie has been doing. I'm spoiled now. Hope there's more.

I would like if Archie had a Twitter account. The internet is your friend, Archie!
