Is it any coincidence that John Larroquette's appeared in two episodes, and they've turned out to be episodes that I've loved? I think not. He clearly relishes the role of Roan Montgomery, and he really brings the fun to his scenes. Heck, even General Beckman is a little more awesome when Roan is around. How awesome was that flashback with 'dirty-blonde' Beckman and Roan meeting up with Scorpion's power ballad classic "Wind of Change" in the background?

As for the episode itself, it was a nice little setup to the search for Sarah's family. I've suspected that this might be the direction the second half of the season would take, and this is a confirmation. I'm looking forward to this. It should be good.

The baby stuff was great, especially Frost's precision timeline breakdown of Clara's bodily functions and feeding schedule. The look of controlled fear on Sarah's face as the maelstrom swirled around her was priceless.

And Adam Baldwin made the most of the few serious scenes he had. His reaction to the news that Alex didn't want him to tell her mother that he was alive and his reaction to the ending when he realized why she didn't want him to tell her was great.

Plus, how can I not mention that bellydancing scene? Chuck's a stronger man than me, because not only would I have agreed to elope, I would have been online buying a ticket to Vegas asap.

Bad news first:
WHAT THE CHUCK!? Chuck was still at a 1.7 last night...Harry's Law dropped to a 1.7 as well and The Cape hit a 1.5 sooo Chuck was bad but so was the rest of NBC.

It even has our fearless leader annoyed this is from Josh Schwartz( Co-Producer and creater of Chuck) on twitter.

But enough with the yucky ratings onto the cuteness that was last nights episode:

Good episode, it felt like the beginning of a whole new season instead of just a mid season episode. Granted we all know it basically is for Chuck since this was the first of the late ordered back 11. Overall it was cute and refreshing it was a bit predictable and cheesy in parts but it was true Chuck cheese. I dont know how yall felt about it but to me it had a Season 1 feel to it kinda a throw back eppie. I dound out this morning it was written by Chris Fedak which immediately made sense it had him written all over it.

Casey/Morgan/Alex
I am looooving that Alex is looking to be more of a regular it opens up such great storylines. And the scene at the end with Casey saying he was "Good for you Kat" was adorable.

CS
I loved that these two were back to their bantering ways...YZ just do it naturally and that shows up on screen. My favorite moments of theirs were these:

"Always be in whatever you're wearing right now." Zac delivered this so histerically as Sarah was walking away LOL it was classic.

When Chuck said "No....woman" Sarahs face was HILARIOUS Yvonne played that perfectly.

The whole ball and chain gag was great.
Sarah:"Are you saying I drag you down?"
Chuck: "No there is literally a ball and chain strapped to my leg! Do you not see this!"
(Something along the lines of that anyway)

I loved the fact Chuck realized it was because of SARAH'S family she wanted to elope and not because of his crazy one. Also loved the fact she felt bad for him HAVING to realize it instead of her telling him. Sarah has really grown in this aspect.

Chuck calling himself the future Mr. Sarah Walker he said it with no hesitation and Sarah certainly didnt object...It was a fiting joke. I think in the end she will of course take his name but it was a cute little scene.

Also in that scene the look on Sarah's face the whole time said a lot. It wasn't like she was mad at Chuck for wanting to find her family she actually had a look of love like she appreciated the fact he would want to go there for her but at the same time the poor girl just look terrified as to what he would find. Makes you wonder what her mom does...we know her dad is a con artist but what could her mom be?

I am LOVING that we look to be diving into some Sarah backstory she is my favorite character and I think the writers even made a crack about how unkown she is when they had Chuck say something about "The mysterious Sarah Walker." Its true for a main character she is very mysterious as far as who she was before Chuckverse.

Agreed he was on my wish list of guest stars I wanted to return and another one that list looks to be coming back next week so yay! This was a cute episode but Chuck vs. Seduction from S2 will stand above it for me.

Dito for all the reasons I said above.

OMG that whole opening scene was priceless. And then throughout the episode how Frost was telling the baby spy stories "Can you say mission?" This kid is going to be one BadA baby.

Oh and just because it was a classic line from Sarah in that opening scene:
"I'm sweating....the last time I sweat gunfire was involved."

Quote:

It was kinda awkward sexy but I think that was on purpose because Sarah was seducing Chuck for different reasons other than she just wanted to seduce him. LOL I loved that they had them both planning the same thing but of course Sarah beat Chuck in the art of seduction....how he said no...the man has insane will power.

And I will repeat it here the line was too hilarious to just say it once:
"Always be in whatever you're wearing right now." LOL ooo Chuckles. His little out at the end HAHA greatness!

Hmm. Zap2it lists Chuck's ratings as 5.4 million, 3.1. Weird.

Don't know if this is spoilery or not, so I'll put the tags to be safe:

Being Human

Still into this show. It keeps rolling along nicely. Really liked Josh getting a big story (he's my fave out of the three) and the visual of Aiden and Rebecca in blood and biting into each other was crazy. Sally didn't have as much to do this week, but I really liked her knocking over the strawberry and being so psyched.

Castle

The actual case wasn't so great, but Castle/Beckett sure was great. The ending ruled, and the little moment with Castle's mother where Beckett repeats Castle's advice was also great. Just get together you two. C'mon!

I loved that too. He said it so effortlessly, and she just smiled a little and went with it. It was great.

I loved that, and I loved it when Sarah accuses him of trying to seduce her too and he says something along the lines of "Of course I am, just obviously not as well as you are." So true Chuck. So true. I'm not exactly sure what heaven is like, but I think that Yvonne Strahoski as a bellydancer gave me a little sneak peak.

I loved the fact that Frost's excellent baby skills were the same skills she used handling live ordinance. How awesome is that?

Greek

Nice episode. I figured out pretty early on that it was Ashley that Rusty kissed. It was plain to me when she opened the door.

The big happy of the night (at least for me) was the Cappie/Casey storyline. I loved the little meta nod ("So let's get back together. It's what the people want.), and I loved that Casey found out about Cappie's newfound maturity completely separately from Cappie, and she didn't go asking about it; it just came about as part of Rusty's insane quest. And that ending scene with Cappie's homemade funland was great. I hope that the writers keep that momentum up, especially since this is the last season and all.

Castle

I agree that the case in and of itself was boring, but I liked all the interaction that came from it in the form of Castle hounding everyone about what they'd buy if they won the lottery (I'd buy the original artwork to the cover of Amazing Spider-man #239, FYI). Also, I loved the little beat when they found out the victim had bought land on the moon, and Castle exclaimed "He's just down the crater from me!" How totally in character is it for Castle to have bought property on the moon. And I loved that they called back to it when he told Beckett that he just bought the moon property a few months ago.

On the subject of Beckett, how hot did she look when they were undercover in the club? You can't fault Castle for gawking at her like a mental patient when she's going to be dressed like that. They're just lucky that no one slipped in the puddle of drool that was obviously forming in front of him.

Also, how cool is it that Beckett sits around and plays the guitar and sings in her downtime. I don't remember any reference being made to that, but I could be wrong.

Amen. Couldn't agree more. With the whole thing.

Friday Night Lights

Yay! The DirecTV episode of FNL have been running from 43-45 minutes since DirecTV 101 doesn't have commercials, but Alan Sepinwall is saying that the finale is going to run the entire 60 minutes, which is awesome. Only one more day until the final episode of FNL ever airs. I feel as excited/sad as I did the day before the Lost finale.

Absolutely. I like that everyone got involved and it was all SO in character. Ryan's being something about his fiance, the captain and his boat. Which, of course, is why Castle figuring out Beckett's was so perfect, because he knows her so damn well.

I'd be in Italy the day I won, by the way.

Holy crap so much yes. That dress was tiny. It even made me forget how unlikely it would be for her to be undercover these days since they've written articles about her and Castle in major New York newspapers. Yeah, annoying nitpick, but that's me, heh.

Still, that dress:

Yeah, I think that was new too. Random bit of awesomeness. Knowing this show, it was probably some sort of in joke.

Oh, oh, how about Esposito realizing that everyone knows about him and Laynie, and then him only getting worried when he realized that Castle and Beckett know too? Cute.

Thanks to the much too friendly 'Tos I can tell you my thoughts about the many, many tv-episodes I watch. So, beware, there's an avalanche coming ya way. Pardon my sometimes poor English, I do a much better job writing 'bout my watched tv shows in German. So if you find some horrible mistakes, please do not hesitate to use the to tell me what I did wrong.

Malcolm In The Middle: Season 4, Episode 1

A good start of the 4th season. I've to tell you, that I was a bit disappointed with season 3. The first one was awesome, I laughed so hard, season 2 started okay, but the last 10 episodes rescued the good season. Season 3 was alright, had some moments, but the great and really mad episodes were missing somehow. And I was bored by the most storylines about Francis in Alaska. Season 4 started with the Wilkersons visiting the zoo, Dewey fell in the tiger cage and Malcolm had to jump after him. That was cool. Reese fought with a goat, yeah, I swear, that's what really happend, after Craig almost got killed by an evil killer monkey , Reese got kicked by a goat. And I liked how the charismatic Tim DeKay (you'll remember him as Reverend Tom Keyes from Everwood! ) played Matt, an old boyfriend of Louis, Hal got so jealous, it was fun to watch, and then he got bitten by a giant spider, that was fun too. Hope season 4 keeps that level.

QUOTES:

Lois: “Malcolm and Reese, don’t throw ball in the house.”

Malcolm to Dewey: „You’re living still in your kiddie dream world.“

„I’m a zoo clown. Buy a giraffe or go to hell.“

Worker at Francis: „The people who run this place are absolute idiots.“

Home Improvement: Season 3, Episode 6

Yes, that was the best episode of season 3 so far! I think now the Tim Allen show found it's humour center, after s1-2 were alright, but rarely great, most of the time was limited a bit by average/normal family stories with the children, they now seem to be able to write funnier stories. Today, Tim "The King of Halloween" Taylor was tricked by Jill and all his friends, that was really funny to see Tim that nervous and scared. Jill had some really amazing comments about her husband. Please keep the jokes on that level.

QUOTES:

Jill to Tim: „Yeah, right, you have a fan.“

Jill (about Tim): „He’s a total wrack. Isn’t that great.“

Hey guys, I apologize for slacking on this thread and many others. Life has gotten in the way. I wish I had time to go back and respond to everything I've missed but that would take forever and only clog up the thread (and other threads) so I will start fresh here and try to keep up from now on!

PLL

I just watched the episode. I have to say Spencer looked stunning in this episode. That is literally my first thought. The actress has those stunning, penetrating Scorpio eyes (yes, Betty, Scorps are known for dazzling eyes) and she just looked amazing throughout the episode. I had to get that out of the way. Lol.

I thought Spencer's scenes with Toby were phenomenal. I saw a lot of chemistry between them along with such important dialogue exchanged. I knew Toby wrote something back in the book to Spencer. I wonder what's up with that?

Melissa is pregnant now. Man. I found both her and Ian's reaction to Spencer tutoring Toby very interesting. They both looked mildly panicked over the news. I still think they might be involved in something but "A" and the Killer could be one or two other people. I am not sure but they just look so obvious there has to be more to the story.

Emily and Paige, obviously something is going to develop between them. The scene where they're swimming like amazing athletes was so cool. Oh and I loved how Hanna screamed for Emily before Emily even started swimming at the competition.

Caleb? I like him... A LOT. Okay, I totally love Hanna/Caleb... big time. I feel chemistry between them and this relationship seems very realistic to me. I never felt Hana/Sean and sadly I never saw anything significant between Hanna/Lucas. I do see something I naturally want to pull for between Hanna/Caleb. Whenever Caleb sat back down after Hanna told him to go take a shower, he didn't need to sit with her crying over Aria, the guy was golden to me. I like this pairing. Both Caleb and Hanna seem to have a lot in common with broken homes, family issues. I also love how Hanna's the homecoming Queen while Caleb is the bad boy outcast. On paper you would never guess but I love how it's coming together all the same. I'm also not going to lie... the actor who plays Caleb is very good looking so that's fun too, heh. There's a certain type of look I dig with men (in the face) and he has it but I'll shut up now. Lol.

I also have to say even though I am tolerating Aria/Ezra more and more I found it a bit refreshing Ezra was MIA this episode. A nice break to their drama. Also, even though I can understand Aria's pissed off emotions and rejection of Hanna, I feel like she could have given her more of a chance to explain instead of blowing up, certainly not ditching her phone calls. I get Aria's mad but she never even gave Hanna a chance to explain. Hanna told her "A" had something over her. Aria even saw Hanna eating all those cupcakes, she has to realize there's something significant to Hanna's words but instead she got too caught up in her love for Ezra to see that maybe she should listen to her best friend before giving such a strong reaction. That sucked but I won't be too critical because like I said I can understand her being upset, I just wish she would have listened to Hanna instead of dragging it out like she chose to go with.

Ella/Bryon reuniting or as Aria says, "Having an affair with each other" is really doing nothing for me. I don't care either way but Ella's right, they are acting like teens sneaking around. Admit you're trying to work things out, even in the bedroom, but say something. You owe it to your kids to do so although the bedroom bit maybe leave out I guess. Lol.

The end of the episode was freaky. What's with the French bit? Interesting.

Oh cool, ForVanAngel! Glad you decided to share your thoughts! Welcome to the thread!

I watched Malcolm in the Middle too, and I definitely liked the earlier episodes the best. I stopped watching at some point, unfortunately. But when it was good, it was SO GOOD. Loved it.

I didn't know Tim DeKay was on the show, though. Cool. He seems to show up in everything.

And Home Improvement, aw, loved that show. Still watch it sometimes on repeats. It is better when the kids are a little older and can get involved in the comedy more. And Jill and Tim, always such great banter. Glad you're enjoying it more and more. It's a classic.

If you'd like, we can add you and your favourite shows to the opening post. Although it's almost time for a new thread (probably will be starting early tomorrow knowing how fast this thread goes), so we can always add you then.

Malcolm In The Middle: Season 4, Episode 2

The second episode was equally good as the season premiere. Today school started, Malcolm and his geek friends had to attend high school for the first time, so Malcolm joined Reese, I think this combination will bring the opportunity of interesting school stories. But also Lois and Hal had to volunteer for the school, don't know why, but somebody did something stupid - the usual. Lois was really mean, argh, why did she have to humiliate malcolm in front of the whole school. But it was fun. The ending was much better for Malcolm, he wanted to drive a car into another one to get to military school like Francis, after Reese ran in front of the car and wanted to stop his brother, Cynthia stopped Malcolm by saying she had sex with him. It was not a great episode, but a good one, I really loved how Hal fought agains Mr. Herklebee, the fight with the brooms was awesome and hilarious, I died inside. Dewey's short storyline was totally cute, he had 15 minutes alone at home, his dance to the mambo song was so cute. And I liked him playing the piano, unfortunately this was just a fun week for him, no more home alone for him. Francis' plot was boring again, argh, why don't they get it right? I know the ranch gets better, I remember great storylines, hope they come soon. His boss Otto is a real idiot, he can't say "no", but gives Francis a pick-up-truck.

QUOTES:

Reese to Malcolm: „Stop! I won’t let you do this! I’m rather(?) gonna die than(?) to be left alone with mom.”

Reese to Malcolm: “You can run me over, I don’t care.”

Home Improvement: Season 3, Episode 7

Another funny episode, I really laughed a lot, season 3 is the stronges season so far. Today Tim did wrong everything a husband is able to. Great how he enlarged a creepy photo from Jill's driver's licences. Jill was really pissed, but Tim made it worse with everything he said. But it was so much fun and in the end Tim gave her this beautiful photo will all signatures from her co-workers, that was really sweet. The children only went minigolfing with Al, so no boring stuff going on.

QUOTES:

Al: „I don’t wanna be a colour.“

Neighbour Joe: „You blew up her driver’s licence? Oh boy are you in trouble.“

Tim to Jill: „Why don’t I just sleep on the couch.“

Fun note about this scene. We found out via twitter yesterday that Zac and Yvonne improvised that scene...specifically Zach added the "Woman" line and Yvonne just naturally went with it and gave him that priceless look.

Yes Chuck stands no chance against Sarah in this department....although I must say bb boy was showing off the guns Monday in force.

Yeah, season 1 is really massive, sometimes I died because it was so crazy, so stupid, so hilarious, so not from this world, but the kids get older. But I like the show, the actors are really great. I still can't believe that Bryan Cranston is both Hal and Walter White, he is such a brillant actor, just take those scenes when he freaks out, you know, when he makes that angry faces because he's mad, that's so mindblowing, and he also was Tim Whatley on Seinfeld back in the 90s. He's not human, that's for sure. I hope season is better than season 3, than I'm happy.

That's what you got me for, I point out every guest actor that I know from other shows. Like that the teacher Mr. Hucklebee is played by Chris Eigeman, maybe you know him as Jason Stiles from the "Gilmore Girls".

"Little older" I second, cos when they were season 1-2 age, they were sometimes annoying, cos they had typical young boy plots. But I think with Season 3-5/6 it'll get better. After that they get strange storylines again, like Mark becoming an emo, but season 7-8 were not that good anymore. But that's normal with almost every show that I've seen, after 4-5 seasons they get weaker, cos there are no more really new and innovativ ideas left.

Episodes: Season 1, Episode 5

Yeah, that was a freaking funny episode, I say it was the best episode so far, I really had my fun.
Spoiler:
I liked the episode from the beginning when Beverley had her problems with the in her opinion too sexy outifts of the librarian Mourning - maybe that's why she hates L.A. But I also enjoyed
Spoiler:
The highlight was of course Sean with Matt and later Mourning at a celebrity event. There was good humour. I'm sad that it will be two weeks.

I just watched the episode. I have to say Spencer looked stunning in this episode. That is literally my first thought.
Her blouse was very feminine and her hair was pulled up...very pretty.

Quote:
I thought Spencer's scenes with Toby were phenomenal. I saw a lot of chemistry between them along with such important dialogue exchanged. I knew Toby wrote something back in the book to Spencer. I wonder what's up with that?
I have no idea what that was. Yes, I have always liked Toby. He's very sweet and yes, he and Spencer have some nice rapport. Jenna, though, is scary.

Emily and Paige, obviously something is going to develop between them.
That was a complete about face. She went from trying to drown Emily to being her best friend. Yes, I see a romance brewing. What ever happened to Emily's mom...she hasn't been around. And, I'm wondering if Emily and she are on speaking terms.

Caleb? I like him... A LOT. Okay, I totally love Hanna/Caleb... big time. I feel chemistry between them and this relationship seems very realistic to me
.
I feel the same way. When I first met him, I couldn't stand him. But, he has become such a tragic, sympathetic character...I am enjoying this budding relationship with Hannah.

Quote:
I'm also not going to lie... the actor who plays Caleb is very good looking so that's fun too, heh. There's a certain type of look I dig with men (in the face) and he has it but I'll shut up now. Lol.
I definitely see it.

I found it a bit refreshing Ezra was MIA this episode
You and me both.

Why did Hannah have to confess?
Quote:
Ella/Bryon reuniting or as Aria says, "Having an affair with each other" is really doing nothing for me. I don't care either way but Ella's right, they are acting like teens sneaking around. Admit you're trying to work things out, even in the bedroom, but say something. You owe it to your kids to do so although the bedroom bit maybe leave out I guess. Lol.
Why are they hiding this? You'd think they'd want to tell their kids this good news.

The end of the episode was freaky. What's with the French bit? Interesting.
I have no idea what that was all about.

FNL

Too late now, but FNL was stated to be 61 minutes. So I hope you didn't miss something, Alan.

PLL

I loved this episode, but I really can't wait for next week. the title alone has me thrilled: "The New Normal" Not sure how many of you know this, but I'm pretty obsessed with the word "normal." And the Canadian promo has some really juicy bits.
