Gaby's last post [I tried to move it over, but screwed up so horribly I had to create a whole new thread, hee]t:
Castle Quote:
Pretty Little Liars You pretty much got everything covered as far as where to get the show, Michelle. Quote:

HIMYM Don't think I mentioned, but I totally didn't see the countdown until rewatch. And serious scenes are definitely, definitely Alyson's strong suit. Glad she got to show that |
Thanks for the new thread, Grant, and for bringing my last post over :)

'Tos! Your signature!
I felt that was relevant here. (Comes back in two weeks! Woot!) |
You really ought to record it just in case you fall asleep again. Even if you start out watching it. 'Cause at least you know not to worry when you fall asleep :P

Aw, I agree with Gaby, Betty. You really should record Castle. It is on too late. Quote:

I'm so psyched for Glee to start Season 2 on Monday! I've heard Season 2 isn't as good as the somewhat flawed but still pretty fabuloso Season 1 and the music sounds good, so I'll be gleeking out in less than a week!
|
Louisa, did you see the info on the old thread as to how to watch season one Pretty Little Liars?

Greek Nice opener. It logically set up reasons for everyone to still be at Cypress Rhodes, and it set the storylines for the rest of the season in motion pretty organically. The Casey/Cappie story was good. He annoyed me, but he was pretty much acting in character, so I couldn't fault that. Glad that he manned up a bit at the end. Hopefully the writers will follow through on the promise of him maturing a bit. He can't be an immature manchild forever. Wow! That is so freaky, isn't it? 4/6! What's extra freaky is the mega ball was one of the Lost numbers, too! Here are the candidates connected to each number: Quote:
Seriously, that is amazing! :) Pretty Little Liars Quote:

Gaby, what is your reasoning for like Aria/Ezra? Also, do you like them more in the TV series or the books? How would you compare? Quote:
Did you have a chance to re-watch the episode yet, Betty? Also, Alan, have you seen the episode yet? I am waiting for your detailed comments. :innocent: Quote:

She also watches... Mad Men, Fringe, Chuck, How I Met Your Mother, and a few others. :) ETA: Our conversation regarding when she's watching PLL Pilot: Quote:
|
Well, I attempted to watch episode 1 of PLL and it was a cataclysmic failure as it was really jerky, I'd get one word of dialogue then it would buffer so I gave up! I'll see if I can get them on iTunes or just wait til the DVDs come out, which hopefully shouldn't be too long, though Amazon don't yet have a date for said release...
How far along is Season 3 of Castle? I get the impression that it's just started, due to there being casting for Nikki Heat's role in celluloid form, but I may be wrong. I'm just trying to gauge how bad the withdrawal symptoms will be and how long they'll last. I'm so cross with myself for blowing through Seasons 1 & 2 in about a week, as I was so into it and then it ended and I can't watch Season 3! Has anyone seen Burlesque? I thought it was great for what it was. Cher's song at the Cabaret when she's on her own is phenomenal and man can Christina Aguilera belt it out too. Also, she looks superb rocking the natural look, with minimal makeup and straight-ish hair. Obviously, she looks great made up for the performances, but I wouldn't have recognised her at first if I hadn't found out who was in it. Kristin Bell looks great with dark hair too and she played her part of the difficult bitch very well. I still miss Veronica "Marshmallow" Mars though and wish there were more characters like her on TV! I'm so tempted to start Being erica, but I promised myself I'd keep it for babysitting on Saturday, and I have a million other DVds to watch instead, if I so desire. There was a post-Christmas deal on, so I ended up getting 5 DVDs for 30 €, including The Duchess, Bright Star, Memoirs of a Geisha, a French film with Guillaume Canet & Marion Cotillard, which sounds a bit like The English Patient, Valentine's Day ( the February 14th equivalent of the Christmas-themed Love Actually) and then I got Lucky You in the post office, as it stars Drew Barrymore & Eric Bana, and in an electronics shop I got Thank You For Smoking for next to nothing (which probably means it's no good, but oh well), then finally at the newsagents, to pay by card I needed to spend more so got Toy Story 3, which I loved as much as the first one, which I still haven't got! Plus I still have about a dozen as yet unwatched DVDs that I bought ages ago: Dancer In The Dark, Woodstock, Schindler's List, Million Dollar Baby, Harvey Milk, Crash, I am Sam, Pay It Forward, From Here To Eternity, Out of Africa, lots of French & Spanish films, amongst others! |
