I don't know the reason, but Michelle was very disliked by the network execs who have influence on the series. They're the ones who most likely curtailed her screen time and other negative things.
Jeffery Stepkoff in his book "Billion Dollar Kiss" stated that fact. In his book Stepkoff said the network execs referred to Michelle as that "Chipmunk Cheeked C***" The Exec's may have been the ones that killed her off. KW, basically being a tool to the network acquiesced. I also think the network forced the P/J ending. With no Meredith Monroe they had the upper hand. I don't remember Stepkoff commenting on how the writers felt about Michelle Williams. |

Wow, what a joke all around. Yes I get the feeling like Williamson felt stupid for trying to write a series finale knowing he abandoned the show. The irony is his ending was completely fitting. But the network and people like Stupin took advantage of Williamson feeling like he wasn’t as powerful as he was in the first two seasons. Berlanti was already doing Everwood so he didn’t have any power either. Berlanti might have come up with the lame PJ idea (temporary because he was pro-DJ) but he hated how it ended and said as much (stating DJ should have ended up together). He only says this if he’s truly pissed and separated completely from the show. He got it right with Everwood.

Is Joshua just trying to make nice with the Pacey/Joey fans or does he actually believe this.
Now that I think about it, he might've actually advocated for them since the two actors were dating at the time which makes me dislike him just a little bit more in that time period. __________________

I always go to the following. A picture of Joshua Jackson at the Dawson Creek 100 episode https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/n...?adppopup=true Last edited by TL22; 05-30-2022 at 01:01 PM |

It just doesn’t make sense.
Unless he wanted to “beat” James/Dawson from getting DJ because James and Josh still reportedly didn’t love being around each other. They seem to be fine now. If this is true the joke’s on him because James didn’t care and removed himself long before the series was even in its final season. I truly believe James was done after S3 was completed. I still find it really difficult to believe Josh would genuinely think Joey was right for Pacey. He’s smart, he acted out the material. |

Maybe he's just trying to stay on the fans good side to keep his career going. I'd hate for anyone to do that, especially for a show that ended 20 years ago.
I have never seen a cast that was so close on camera be not-so-close off camera to actually say what they didn't believe to be true just to one-up someone else. __________________

Media reporting this more and more…
I’m glad I never watched anything else Josh was in… ‘Dawson’s Creek’ Star Joshua Jackson Fought Against Joey and Dawson Ending Up Together Sorry, he’s an idiot. Did he pay attention to the series and his character AT ALL? How on earth in any way whatsoever would he believe Pacey with Joey was the correct romantic ending for his character? I just can’t believe how ridiculous this is. I can see James fine with it. He didn’t care anymore! But it doesn’t make sense for Josh to fight for this nightmarish ending. It truly makes this series even more of a joke. Josh fought for a toxic ending and Michelle Williams was/is upset over her character being sacrificed essentially for this joke of an ending. Wow. It’s pathetic when you think about it. Last edited by jediwands; 06-03-2022 at 09:22 AM |

A viewer asked "Since you and Katie Holmes are both in New York, Do you plan on seeing each other?"
Josh replied "Katie is married and in the "A" list, and he doubted they would have any interaction." I consider the article stating that Joshua Jackson pushed for a P/J ending pure fantasy. With all my reading about Dawson Creek this the first time I have heard this. New Subj: Looks like Katie likes them at least ten years younger, see link. Doesn't this make two in a row? https://www.purewow.com/news/katie-h...rpet-as-couple |

Wow, I still thought she was with the other guy that cheated on his ex with Katie. LOL.
I didn't know she had moved on. Shows you how much I keep up with what she's doing. She seems to love age gaps in general... Tom was much older, now the last couple, the other way. Which is fine, of course, but just interesting. |
