Well, BL had a very in your face sort of chemistry, so i get people might like them based on that. On top of that, people are really into the fiestier hate/love sort of ships. And bl were such opposites, I think people really like that, especially these days. Which I get, because i can be that way on shows somtimes too. I dont always ship the "main" ship actually haha. Usually I do but sometimes not. (see stefan/elena for example lol)

Tho BL were written so badly. So so bady that even if i felt the chemistry between them I never could have supported them in the long run because I dont like ships at all where one cheats on the other, thats a huge NO for me.

I think the big difference between the two is although chemistry is subjective, I never thought Chad and Sophia had major chemistry (the story for Brooke and Lucas was poor so that might have played a part) yet I watched one scene between Nina and Ian and they lit up the screen with amazing chemistry. So I might have done the same thing you did with TVD!

Well since Brooke and Lucas Part II took place after Chad and Sophia's marriage and breakup, chemistry was probably hard to come by!

Sophia's voice always sounds like someone who's smoked four packs of cigarettes a day for 40 years!
