He asked if I was on a probiotic and said no matter the immune deficiency, he wants all his patients on a probiotic because it's shown to help the immune system. I found it interesting that a traditional doctor years ago knew this.
I don't think that I've tried supplements, but I did have to take probiotic when I had tonsilitis. The doctor prescribed it. I haven't tried it on my own though .

I still haven't made a final decision but I'm now considering it because it's 3 AM and I'm wide awake. I am staying up until at least 4 AM to feed Buddy and then might try to close my eyes for a bit longer. Or I might just get up and go to the store. I have a few things I want to get. I went yesterday while running errands but of course I forgot multiple things, LOL. I just have a few more things to pick up. If I go to the casino and meet friends, it would be at 7:30 AM for breakfast and then hanging out playing for a couple hours. To be honest, I haven't been to a casino in a long while. It might be fun. I'll decide soon.
Makes sense . Plus I know that you like the casino so you will have fun there if you decide to go!

Full blown relax . Nothing interesting.

I have to work this weekend because my boss dumped a huge bid on me at the last minute and it's due on Monday.

We took Goldie to the vet today for her annual shots and she has worms, so we have to give her medicine for the next 5 days. We're not sure how she got them, but she goes outside a lot and she's always putting something in her mouth so maybe she got them that way. She's much more of a handful than our first two dogs.

Ah this sucks. Do you work from home or you have to get to the office?

It definitely seems that way. Good that she won't take the medication for long!

Got it! I know I feel much better on probiotics. I just always get the dairy free kind. It's too much dairy, otherwise.

I did end up going out to breakfast and to the casino. It was fun but I didn't win any money and my wallet is a tiny bit lighter as a result too.

Glad you're relaxing!

So sorry about your boss and having to work!

Awe about Goldie. As I was reading about her, my instant intuitive thought was boarding. Remember when you guys went on vacation and she was boarded? Dogs and cats can get things like kennel cough and worms afterward. You'd think it's the safest place possible and it probably is! But when dogs are around other dogs they can transmit things to each other very easily. I wonder if this is the case for Goldie.

Yes, you might be right Michelle! I didn't even think of that. Yes we boarded Goldie when we went on vacation in December, and this is the first time she's been to the vet this year. We got her a Bordatella Booster is December just before we boarded her, but I think that you're right. I think we should look into a pet sitting service instead of boarding her. She wasn't boarded at the vet's because they don't offer boarding. We boarded her at a kennel. Thanks!

Thanks for your kind words Koni and Michelle I can work from home, but I hate having to work on the weekend.

That's a prime example of how this psychic thing works with me, lol. I read or hear something and then a word or thoughts just pop into my mind. I really do believe this is how your Goldie got worms. The time frame makes sense too. I don't think it's anything at your house or outside either. It's usually from something "more filthy" and that's definitely living/sleeping around a lot of different dogs. The good news is with the medication it will be zapped.

I hear you! I love working from home too and don't mind working on the weekend but the key is when I want to. When I have a ton of stuff to do and I have to adjust plans on the weekend, I can't stand that. Your boss is just insensitive. I hope he realizes how great you are.

Glad that you had fun. Well it would have been better if you had won something, but still you got distracted for a bit and had fun. That's good.

Great picture, Alan! Who is that woman in the photo with you?

Here's wishing Goldie no more worms, Jerry!

Thanks Betty! We have to give her medication for 5 days, wait two weeks, and then give her medication for five more days.

Yeah. It was fun. I love these particular friends. They're Introverted like me. We literally split up to go and play too, lol. We didn't play next to each other minus a couple hands of Black Jack at a table. Breakfast was good too. The casino has several restaurants and all are very gluten free/low carb friendly.

How's your weekend going?

The perks of a low carb/gluten free diet removing all the gross processed foods:

This morning I had a four egg (yes four) omelette with generous amounts of cheese and vegetables.

Right now I'm snacking on drool-worthy Macadamia nuts.

Tonight I'm making a huge salad with imported olives, cheese, vegetables drizzled in olive oil. Some fresh green beans and a pot roast with some other veggies.

And... I won't gain a pound. In fact, I'll LOSE weight if I don't add in a nice portion of delicious fruit. I'll have some fresh strawberries and blackberries tonight.

I'm smacking my lips while eating the Macadamia nuts.

I love Macadamia nuts. Teresa always gets them for me at Christmas as a stocking stuffer. The first time I ever had them was went I went to Hawaii in 1980 while I was in college. I've loved them ever since.

Nothing interesting. I actually watched again the Jordi Arias movie because we mentioned it on OT and I like Jesse so win/win for me. I had forgotten how disturbing the killing scene was though. I was eating right at that moment and it was well surprising .

Overall it was relax mostly .

That sounds really yummy . Like all of it . I like Macadamia nuts too, but they are too expensive here.
