I think that's fairly common in life really. I mean it happens at times, but it's the norm that people are best friends with the same person they were when they were growing up. Even if it wasn't as dramatic a fallout as DP had, people change and grow. So really I think they were pretty lucky to still be friends at all so many years later.

Very true. Most people just grow apart from their friends from childhood. I was really glad that by the Finale, Dawson and Pacey managed to be friends again. I loved the little chat they had in the Finale:
Pacey: Are you happy?
Dawson: Stock answer is a resounding yes... (Oops, don't remember the whole quote)
Pacey: But you're talking to me now.
I love the fact that a) Pacey still knows Dawson enough to ask the question and dig deeper and b) that they can be honest with each other (finally).

I love that scene too. Even after all the years and all the drama, those two meant something to each other. They knew each other in ways no else did. Memories that no else had. There I go getting all sappy!

one of my favorite things in the finale is that they are friends.
i also really like their final seen in capeside redemption... and i think that's why it was so realistic to see them the way they were in the finale. we were given hope and it totally paid off in the end.

Great pics Romina....they both look like they're coming to get us in that first one.

I watched Unusual Suspects today. And I really liked the end scene of it. It showed us the beginnings of making amends between these two. It was obvious that things wouldn't just go back to the way they were but I loved that both were willing to give it a chance and let it happen day by day.....

Pacey: Do you think it's possible that someday I could convince you that maybe I'm the type of person you could trust again?
Dawson: I would like to believe that it is.
Pacey: I gotta try. I'm not ready to give up on you.
Dawson: If it doesn't work out, we can always just kill each other.
