Scott Moir ღ Tessa Virtue #87 ~ Because S'Wonderful to see such a marvelous start to their season!
Welcome to the Scott&Tessa thread! . . . . .
Our favourite programs . . . . . . . . Olympic Champions World Champions . . . . . . . . . .In 2003-2004 season, fourteen-year old Virtue and sixteen-year old Moir made their debut on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. They placed 4th at the event in Croatia and 6th in Slovakia. At the 2004 Canadian Figure Skating Championships, they won the Junior title, qualifying them for the 2004 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, where they placed 11th. They skated to Russian Medley choreographed by their future coach Marina Zoueva and Tutti Frutti. Canadian commentators were gushing about this remarkable new couple, calling them the new Bourne and Kraatz. Coached by Paul MacIntosh and Suzanne Killing, Virtue and Moir were quickly making themselves known in the figure skating world for their intricate footwork and incredible skating abilities. “All of a sudden, one day I woke up and ice dance and T e s s a ... that was my whole life.” . . . . .

Thanks Anna for the new thread -- I started to try and make one and realized I was making a hash of it, LOL. Foiled by technology once again...
Watching the medal ceremony I was amused by what I assume was an ongoing little joke about how the women were handed a bag while the men weren't... and then Tessa ended up 'making' Scott hold it anyway. Because it's too cute not to post again: I thought I saw that the Twitter account is the same name as the IFS facebook pics, so maybe they'll have a little something in the IFS magazine coming soon? http://twitter.com/#!/eelinpaas/stat...275840/photo/1 http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?s...0292537&type=3 (edited because proper names are important, particularly when giving thanks!) __________________

Source This one kind of sizzles, I think! ETA: I wish this could be made into an icon, but I don't think that would be practical. This has to be one of my all-time favourite photos - it blows my mind all over again each time I see it. I know that Tessa's training in dance probably contributes to the amazing positions she can get into, but do you have to be born with that kind of long, flexible back to begin with? It's really late so I'm not sure if that's a gigantically silly question. __________________

Updated (at least, I hadn't seen them yet!) photo page, to include Saturday's practice --
Saturday's practice sessions - Sami's Photos Personally, I find the one in which Scott has miraculously grown a set of extra arms a treat. This one, I'm trying to find the original source and not having much luck so far (I checked on the page of the Lizabet who gave us such lovely pics in the past but I didn't see it there.) I found the pic at this blog -- http://twizzleandfootwork.blogspot.c...1_archive.html Progress -- http://tessa-and-scott.livejournal.c...12.html#cutid1 http://tessa-and-scott.livejournal.com/246036.html Aha! Thanks for the amazing pics, Lizabet (who is indeed the same wonderful picture taker!) And I'm a big fan of this pic, for it's "Is it Worlds or is it Finlandia?" kind of parallel, LOL (and it's such a great shot regardless!) -- http://www.tomaswhitehouse.com/2011/...a-trophy-2011/ __________________

I love how Tessa just smiles as she's being lifted- no fear at all!
and I love the picture where they recreate the "oh look, it's a spider!" lift __________________

LOL At Eskimo Tessa And thanks for all the links to the photos. I especially like the ones of the closeups, although they are relatively pixelated. __________________
