So happy and proud of Lewis! After a disaster yesterday he really came back fighting today and perhaps I'm biased but I genuinely believe he would have caught Rosberg and taken him had Rosberg not had the problem. Fantastic result and brilliant to see a British driver on the top step at the British Grand Prix.
Fantastic drives from Bottas and Alonso too, especially when you consider where they started from. Great driving between Alonso and Vettel, Alonso did so well to hold Vettel off for so long. Relieved to hear Kimi is okay, that was one crazy crash and could have been a lot worse. Really felt for Massa to have been caught up in it, especially at his 200th race. Not the ending he was looking for that's for sure. A great race from start to finish, I just wish Button had been able to get 3rd, he was so so close, he just needed one more lap. Still at least McLaren finally look like they are on the right track again. __________________

You're both welcome!
What an event-filled race! I was happy for Lewis as well, he deserved to win after that mistake in quali. When Nico was slowing down, I felt like the gods were helping Lewis win this race. I heard the trophy he was presented got broken so he was given the usual gold cup trophy during the post-race interviews. I'm sad about JB as well, I wanted him to be on the podium. So many supporters wearing pink too in memory of John Button. I'm glad to know Kimi is okay, he was limping when he got out of the car. Props to Massa for avoiding collision as I think it would've been a lot worse if they collided. I'm happy about Bottas and Ricciardo at the podiums as well, they both deserve it. Bottas was really good especially towards the last few laps. Also that VET-ALO tussle was fantastic to watch! It was hilarious how they were both screaming at the radio for the moves they did on each other. Looking forward to Germany 2 weeks from now! __________________

I liked the race too Congrats Lewis! I loved how happy he was after the race and I'm really glad Kimi is okay.
I wanted JB to get to the podium as well but I also wanted Dan to get it (It's really hard when you support almost all the drivers that you don't know who to cheer for when they battle between them ) I think I prefered JB this time because it was on Silverstone and it would have been really emotional to see him finally on the podium there The highlight for me was the battle between Vettel and Alonso, we had been waiting for an actual on track battle between these two for really long and when we finally got it it didn't disappoint More of this please Edit: It was really close source __________________

Yeah that was so close! Thanks for posting those gifs. Great driving from both. If even one of them makes a slight mistake, then a collision would happen.
We're also halfway through the F1 calendar. __________________

Interesting quali yesterday. Lewis was out by Q1 and Nico went on to get pole. Bottas was also quite fast! I hope he finishes in the points later. JB & Kimi both in the middle grid after doing lackluster times yesterday.
Looking forward to watching the live GP in 6 hours time. __________________

Lewis did great.
Poor Massa - his luck has been terrible. |

I missed the race as I had some stuff to do. I thought I was going to be able to watch it live. I'm glad for the podium winners but most especially for Bottas. I hate that we're getting such a long break after Hungary.
Hi Tony, it's great to see you here! It's cool that you live near the Silvestone track. Have you watched a race there live? __________________

Someone in the Merc garage really doesn't like Lewis
Saw a few F1 races at Silverstone, lots of other stuff too. (Which was more enjoyable as F1 is too busy, and I really had no idea what was going on as it was so loud I couldn't hear the commentary.) |

I missed quali but heard what happened to Lewis. Not a great way to start the race but hopefully he can make up for it with overtakes at the race later. I'm also a bit wary of Kimi at Ferrari. He was so much better at Lotus since he was always finishing in the points.
Granted nothing will go wrong with Nico, I think he will win the race. I'm also rooting for Bottas to make it to the podium (and Ricciardo). And this tweet from JB. @JensonButton: Happy Birthday Dad, it's not the same down here without you... Miss you.... RIPPapa __________________
