| Thanks for the new thread. ![]() I heard Webber is to have more surgery on his leg, is that true? Last edited by Brucas4life : 07-17-2009 at 05:29 AM. | |||

| So Sebastian might be taking Toro Rosso to court? Wow. Whats the grounds for his appeal? Breach of contract? This season is getting all the drama off the track. This title is so right for this sport. __________________ Caroline: That's twice. That's two "hey's". Do you have any other words in your vocabulary? It reeks of awkward subtext. | |||

| Yeah he doesn't think it was fair of the team to sack him, particuarly when they are about to get a lot of upgrades, he said they've sacked him without even giving him a chance in a decent car and he was sure if he's been allowed to carry on and get the upgraded car that his results would have improved. On the BBC website along their breaking news bit it came up earlier saying Webber was to have another operation on his leg after Hungary I think it was, but now I can't find anything on it. Does anyone have anymore info on that? Or does that mean it's not true? Edit: Finally found it. Quote:
What do people think about Jean Todt standing for the presidency.? Quote:

| Vicky, I was just going to come in here to post that! Anyway more confirmation is at the Guardian. I don't know. Seems like it'll be the Mosley show through a puppet. Ari Vanaten seems to be saying all the right things but it's easy to say the right things now and then go back on your word so I don't know. __________________ Leslie: Dream with me for a second, Ann: doesn't this neighborhood deserve a first class park? | I personally think I would rather have Vanaten. I'm sure Jean Todt is perfectly qualified but the fact that Max is endorsing him is worrying me, and this may be irrelevant but having spent so many years with Ferrari I personally believe it would be better to have a president who can in no way be accused of being biased or having any allegiances to certain teams. I just don't know. I'm sure he wouldn't take advantage of the position and favour Ferrari but at the same time everyone knows him for his work with Ferrari so it's going to be in people's minds. Also I just wanted to say how sad I was about what happened in F2 today at Brands Hatch. It's always terrible when anyone gets injured let along dies in the sport, and he was only 18 years old. My thoughts are with his family. | |||

| I haven't had much time for FF lately, I just wanted to drop by and say how sad I am about what happened today. I watched the race live and although the accident looked serious, I would never expect it to be a fatal one... Condolences to the Surtees family.__________________ Gosia | Racing is a state of mind. | |||

| I'm not a fan of Formula One, but I saw news of Henry Surtees' death today, and it broke my heart. My prayers go out to his family. He was so young...RIP. __________________ The 2010 Winter Olympics are only 44 days away! | |||

And thanks for the new thread, the title is so true. __________________ ~ele~ It's hard to stay up. It's been a long, long day. And you got the sandman at the door. But hang on, leave the TV on. | So any thoughts going into the race this weekend? Brawn seem to be feeling quite confident again. | |||

| Not really. It's always the same few stories: there's something about the FIA fighting someone, a bit about Red Bull hoping to catch Brawn, someone will inevitably be "hopeful" about the upcoming weekend, etc, etc. To be honest I forgot about the racing. It's weird, I love Formula One but these days I can't get excited about race weekends the way I used to - I'm not sure if it's the result of the FIA/FOTA war or the two horse race it's become, or the fact that my teams are languishing, but it's hard to carry excitement into the weekends (let alone the time inbetween race weekends). Sorry! I'm sure I'll be more excited when I see qualifying though. That's always fun. RIP Sutrees. It really reminds you that no matter how much improvements they've made in safety, this is still a dangerous sport. I mean, there have been very close incidents recently - Kubica in Canada 2007 - it's scary. __________________ Leslie: Dream with me for a second, Ann: doesn't this neighborhood deserve a first class park? | Master Fan ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hungary will be boring, I went to the race in 2002 and saw a Ferrari 1-2 victory and no one changed positions at all. And now with KERS I just hope Red Bull and Brawn will have a good qualifying. __________________ ~ele~ It's hard to stay up. It's been a long, long day. And you got the sandman at the door. | Loving the new thread title, so true ![]() I hope Hungary is an exciting race ![]() I was just wanted to know what anyone else thought about this but i've been wondering whether David Coulthard regrets retiring last season with the success that Red Bull have had this year and how Webber and Vettel could be possible threats to Jenson for winning the title? David seems happy presenting and commenting on the races and issues but i can't help but wonder, would he still like to be driving this season for Red Bull? __________________ I got a notion that says it doesn't feel right {got the answer in your story today} icon: utterly indecent Hannah. | |||

| OMG, what a qualy! ![]() I really hope Felipe is okay, I just read that he's stable, so hopefully he's going to be fine. I'm so happy for Fernando! Gah, I even don't remember when was the last time he was on pole. I was really nervous when live timing went down...__________________ Gosia | Racing is a state of mind. | |||

| Aw, poor Felipe. That was awful, I hope he is ok. Get well soon, bb ![]() It was so hilarious that there were no results and even the drivers didn't know ![]() __________________ ~Anja~ OTB for life | |||
