Yeah.

I also like the softer moments with the guys being pleasantly impressed. Like in The Apology Insufficiency when Penny says, "Kirk cheated." and then Sheldon goes, "I'm impressed that you know that." or in 4.24 when Raj is impressed that Penny knows a bit of physics.

I don't want anyone to think I'm taking away from Amy/Bernadette when I say this because you all know I adore them but I just love the original five so much.

Yeah. In a way, Amy and Bernie help to make the original five a bit more special in that it's like moments of going back to the roots sometimes when we get scenes with the five of them, and it creates a bit of nostalgia - not to go back to the way things were, but just creates fond thoughts about them. (But, yeah, not in a way that puts down either Amy or Bernie).

Exactly. It's a nostalgia thing - I guarantee you I would not enjoy this show as much as I do at this point if it wasn't for Amy and Bernie. But while a lot of people started watching later on, the original five is the cast I fell in love with, and then M&M made it better, whereas for a lot of people, the seven is the cast they fell in love with.

I've seen that before - I think it was taken during season one, though I only saw it online years later. But, yeah, it's a great cast pic.

When it was just the 4 guys and Penny, I didn't think it could become any better because to me it was just perfect, but they proved me wrong when Amy joined the cast. They continue to blow our minds even more each season.
I'm absolutely buzzing about season 8.
