I don't hate them, I just don't get that "lovey kissy" sensation when I see them. I dislike romantic comedies. I love World War II documentaries, especially if they are about the Holocaust. I think psychotherapy is awesome. Our house is a "no shoes on" house. I love any comedy with Martin Lawrence. I like any hairless creature: hairless cats, hairless dogs, and especially the naked mole rat. I am a terrible skier. I dislike being pampered: massages and manicures are not my thing. Bands I love: Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Neko Case, David Grey, Gomez, New Pornographers. I love crossword puzzles. In the late 1990's I was the clue to "53 across" in the LA Times crossword puzzle. My thesis was in the field of Psychoneuroendocrinology. I own every Elvis Costello album on LP. I have a charcoal grey hairless cat named Esau. I don't like heights, closed spaces, or swimming in deep waters in the ocean. I am obsessed with Faye Kellerman's series of detective novels about a Baal Teshuvah Jewish detective and his Modern Orthodox wife. Thanks Melody! I really enjoyed that.
Due to some issues I'm having I'm thinking of gradually pulling dairy out of my diet, I'm sad about it but my life may become easier because of it and I can thank Mayim for me somewhat making that decision. __________________

I'm only half way through listening to Mayim's interview, but I've got to say I am cheering here at what she's saying. (Paraphrasing) - The fact we've evolved to farm and eat animals is part of our natural evolution, and the choice some of us make not to do that is also part of our natural evolution. I've been saying (or I should say believing/knowing) this for 25 years, and it's amazing to finally hear it from someone else!
