I like any hairless creature: hairless cats, hairless dogs, and especially the naked mole rat. I am a terrible skier. I dislike being pampered: massages and manicures are not my thing. Bands I love: Mumford and Sons, Avett Brothers, Neko Case, David Grey, Gomez, New Pornographers. I love crossword puzzles. In the late 1990's I was the clue to "53 across" in the LA Times crossword puzzle. My thesis was in the field of Psychoneuroendocrinology. I own every Elvis Costello album on LP. I have a charcoal grey hairless cat named Esau. I don't like heights, closed spaces, or swimming in deep waters in the ocean. I am obsessed with Faye Kellerman's series of detective novels about a Baal Teshuvah Jewish detective and his Modern Orthodox wife. It has finally hit all the tabloids now. I feel bad for their family, especially right before Thanksgiving and Chanukah. It sounds like one of them has already set up a household elsewhere. Praying for them.
