Seabiscuit - It was brilliant! Very very excellent. The use of color in the period piece was great. The whole cast did wonderfully - it wasn't just Tobey's film. I really want to read the book now. I cried like 4 times!

Big Fish - kinda loved it. Tim Burton is excellent and make such amazing movies. Not to mention Ewan mcGregor Could I love that guy more? He was just wonderful, as always. The story was ok, but the best part were the actors & the scenery. Beautifully done!

Peter Pan- I was a very good movie. Jason Isaacs was MADE for the role of Captain Hook, and the tension between Wendy and Peter was amazing for actors their age.

Finding Nemo- I am such a dork. I am probably the only person in America who DIDN'T go see it in theatres, but I saw it. Very good.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen- Not one of Sean Connery's finest. Didn't hate, but didn't like it either.

Big Fish - I have to disagree with previous post and say it is one of the best if not the best film I have seen. I will be highly upset if it doesn't win "best picture." I've never seen a movie deplict the story of life and the choices we make in such a beautiful way. The use of scenery to help tell the story was great, the acting was wonderful, and the stories within the stories were amusing and very entertaining. I cried the entire last ten minutes of the movie. I'm from the south so maybe I connected with the movie in a different way but I give it 5 stars!

Rented movies:
About A Boy – cute, more drama than I expected
Murder By Numbers – not bad, not spectacular
Rat Race – hilarious
Whale Rider – interesting coming-of-age & old world/new world conflict among native New Zealanders

At the theater:
LOTR-ROTK – awesome, can’t wait for the extended DVD

S.W.A.T. - I thought it was above average. Good enough to keep me interested, but at the same time wasn`t anything special.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake: Pretty scary and cruel. I love horror movies, but this one was a little too much for me sometimes.

Spy Kids 3D. I took my little sister to see it. Interesting concept, but I got dizzy pretty fast. Never been much of a Spy Kids fan either, I think the makers underestimate children's powers to know when a storyline is fragmented and under-developed. The movie was entertaining but the plot was definitely jerky, even for a kids' movie.

American Girl - I saw this today as it was on TV and it was something to do. I thought it would be alright because Jena Malone was it but boy was I wrong. It was absolutely terrible - no point to it at all. I wasdigusted by the father and I was confused by her numerous suicide attempts at certain points. It was a pointless film and a waste of my time! I would have done homework or cleaned if I had known how bad it was!
