Ugh, though we should be coming up on the new cast additions pretty soon. But new Andy/April would be a joy.
Is it even a new episode of 30 Rock? I just don't understand the logic. Why have everything else new but one show? I know P&R is the lowest rated and all, but still...NBC will never do anything normal, will it? Heh.

New episode of 30 Rock, yep. And I don't get it, either.

Bringing this over since it was a response and it's just nicer to do that for the poster to whom one is responding, hee:

Glee

Louisa, I actually liked the Madonna episode much, much better than "Hello," and they didn't feature any of the Madonna songs I particularly like (aside from "Express Yourself," which was one of the lesser numbers). Actually, they managed to do amazing things with some iffy songs, interestingly enough. "4 Minutes" (which I'd never heard before, just listened to after finding out the show would be using it) by her and Justin Timberlake sucks a lot, but by Kurt and Mercedes and a marching band? Wow. Definitely try to find some way to catch the ep at some point even if you have to miss it next week.

And I don't even think I care all that much what Jesse's up to (though I'm hoping he'll take a turn for not-evil at some point, because he and Rachel are just, theoretically, too, too perfect a match); Jonathan Groff is just kind of multiple shades of fantastic. Can they keep him forever and ever? And ever? And also not CUT ONE OF HIS SONGS FROM THE SHOW SO THAT IT'S ONLY AVAILABLE AS A BONUS ALBUM TRACK ON ITUNES? (This. Again, not a song I care for in the original, but...nice.)

Does anyone want any editing of their shows in the intro?

I removed Brothers and Sisters and added Modern Family.

I think that's a very wise switch, heh. Have you given up on B&S completely? Or will you always tune in once in a while?

Betty, you could knock out for me, Brothers And Sisters (Incest sucks) and Dollhouse.

Lost

This was a really good episode. To be brief:

I am not convinced Desmond is dead. I feel as if no matter what this guy is above everyone else and somehow he was able to stop Sayid from being a murdering zombie. There's a reason why the exchange between the two took place and why we didn't see the so called "killing." I also think when Sayid told MIB he could go check if he wanted to make sure he killed him, he said that using psychology to seem confident and the second MIB didn't need to go, the slight grin on Sayid's face made it seem like the plan worked.

I loved Evangeline in this episode... I thought it was some of her best acting. Kate's scene with Claire getting her to go on the boat and reassuring her that she is only out for her best interest was most excellent. I loved the outpouring of emotion from Kate. Obviously we know Sawyer didn't know what and the hell he was doing and he got them into trouble by trusting Widmore but I still loved that scene between Kate and Claire.

Jack was so awesome in this episode... I love how he trusted Hurley, the scenes between Jack and MIB were incredible. I love how he told Sawyer he was sorry for being responsible for Juliet's death and watching Jack jump into the water was one of the best scenes of Lost EVER in my mind. That was such a moving scene, with Kate looking on ready to strangle Sawyer for Jack jumping in the water.

It is quite obvious Sawyer is not a good leader, heh. He kind of bothered me at times throughout this episode. Jack was so right... he knew the Island was not finished with them, he knew how wrong it felt whenever they left the first time, he was making so much sense. Sawyer, on some level bought it, but didn't care and still went ahead with his "we have to get off the rock" bit no matter what.

I have no idea who is good and who is bad at this point either. It is very confusing to me. I knew Jack would be the one performing Locke's surgery. I think this is why Locke could walk on the Island, because Jack saves him during surgery, not only from Desmond running him over but he probably even cured his chronic condition before the hit and run.

I didn't like how MIB tried making Jack feel secure after he rescued him. Umm, yeah right, heh.

Excellent episode overall.

I have given it up completely. I'm not always conscientious about the shows that I love...why waste my time with shows that I can't stand?

I am so out of the loop I don't even know what Modern Family is past seeing it being talked about quite a bit on OT2. Maybe I will check it out sometime.

I know it's difficult to have to start watching a new show...at least for me it is. But...I am so glad that I started to watch this show. Michelle...I think you'll love it. It's only 30 minutes...so it won't take up much of your time...but it is really great. Heart warming and hilarious at the same time.

Community

An episode about chicken fingers??? I'm SO there! And with old-school movie flashback voice overs and 50's music? SO there again. Annie doing the robot? In love. A money named "Annie's boobs"? Nice. Evil Abed and the whole crime movie/Goodfellas thing with chicken instead of drugs was pretty fun too. And seeing Abed as powerful, and Jeff on the outside. Yeah, just a weird but really fun episode. And that...pretty much sums up Community, really.

The Office

-An Erin episode! Full of her weirdness! Yay. I loved that MICHAEL, King of Awkward Small Talk, was weirded out by Erin's awkward small talk. How many pillows do you sleep on? What?
-Kevin as cookie monster was funny, but I really liked the show dealing with the Sabre guy and his attempts at being an authority figure. He was so non-confident when he stepped out to talk to everyone, and having to say it's from corporate and that everyone should listen were the worst things he could have said. Really felt bad for him ultimately too, though. I thought Jim and Pam were kind of jerks leaving like they did putting him in that spot, but I guess I would have taken two days of pay too, hee. And he took being made fun of about as well as I would have. Actually, he took it exactly as I would have, heh.
-In some ways, I felt bad for both Andy and Erin. Andy was trying to so hard and being so sweet. But, he should have told Erin. That was messed up that he didn't. But the look at the end of the episode? AWWW! Poor Nard Dog.
-Michael finally becomes super aware! He knows it was messed up for Andy not tell Erin, he knows Erin is weird, he knows that he can't keep a secret. It was a good Michael episode in general, really. Wasn't in it all that much and wasn't the central focus, which was refreshing. And he was normal. Again, self-aware, but also really nice to Erin at the end cheering her up.
-Erin with an attitude was pretty awesome to see too. Not quite as awesome as her waving "hi" to Andy and Michael with the teddy bear, though. Come on! That was cute!

I'm still having trouble figuring out the theme/arc/point of the season in some ways. I watched S5 again recently, and the arc is so clear by the time Holly leaves and Michael's unhappiness starts showing. S2, too, was built so much around Jim and Pam finally coming together. S3 had Jim leaving and then coming back as a big arc. S4 is a little less clear, though, but at least you have Ryan in corporate. Which wasn't great. Neither is the Sabre story.

Hee, exactly. It's just causing yourself more pain to keep watching it. But, I've been there. You hope so much it will get better and better and it never does. And then you wonder why you've kept watching it at all, you know? Hee. That was my reaction when I stopped watching B&S a good while back. I still miss the cast and some of the characters, though, but not enough to tune in.

You have me convinced to take a look now, heh. What night is it on during the week? I'll watch next week then.

Also, I am an idiot because I forgot to tell you that I watch The Ghost Whisperer faithfully and so does Alex (I noticed this show is also missing from her list but that makes sense because we both started watching the reruns together along with watching the all new episodes now) so you can add The Ghost Whisperer to both of our lists. I could also tweak more of her list but if she wants to edit more she can tell you, I just know The Ghost Whisperer is a slam dunk for sure. Thanks, Betty.

Good night, too. Wednesdays always seem to have lighter sports viewing choices, heh.
