Yeah, I'm really looking forward to his new trilogy, but at the same time it will be kinda weird without Skywalkers.

I think that will be true for some who didn't like TLJ, but I don't think that will be true for all - I think a lot of the dislike comes from his choices with Snoke, how he handled Rey's parentage reveal, Luke....a.k.a fan expectations. His trilogy will be all new so those expectations won't be there.
