Wonder what free books I can pick up at New York Comic Con

Publishers will either have the authors there for signings, and give the books for free. It's all for promotion and buzz. They will also give away advanced uncorrected proofs of books to get a buzz going before the actual publication date.

So has anyone read 'Kenobi' by John Jackson Miller yet?

I saw that book when it came out but because of other things I hadn't gotten around to getting it.

Then a guy at the Con I went to (who I got the vintage (well 90's- vintage for us Mellienium kids from) told me about it.

Well in the past week since I've been going to the school library they had the book on the 'Must Read' shelf. This is the first time I've ever checked out a book from the school library

But I am so curious to the storyline as it's about Obi-wan and takes place sometime between ROTS and ANH.

Isn't it!

I've started it and it takes place moments before Obi-Wan takes Luke to live with his aunt and uncle.

It's so sad to see what Kenobi had to endure- being a Jedi and saving the galaxy, to living a life of seclusion and without having to reveal he's a Jedi. Can you imagine how strenous that would be? No wonder people considered him to be a crazy old hermit.
