Yeah He pretty much went from being a hero to being a crazy old guy who nobody knew about. It must've been especially hard having spoken to Luke all those years without being able to say a word about what happened.

I have not read it yet, but will eventually.

Are you enjoying the book?

Can you imagine how strenous that would be? No wonder people considered him to be a crazy old hermit.
And aged many years! Plus, Tatooine has two suns.

Obi-Wan had one of the toughest journeys of the saga...

This is the first I've heard about the book Kenobi. Apparently I've fallen way behind in my SW news. It's a great idea for a book, Obi-Wan definitely has an underappreciated storyline. In the original trilogy he was just a mentor. I loved seeing more of him in the prequels and I look forward to reading this book. First though I need to FINALLY read Choices of One. Maybe this winter break.

The Star Wars books I got. Darth Plagueis was free. The Clone Wars Episode Guide was at a discount - $10. And Jason Fry (the author) and Ashley Eckstein were there to sign.
Have you read Darth Plagueis yet? I really enjoyed it.

I Ashley's message! That's fantastic!

I never thought about that! That's a great point. He went from being a part of a community to losing everything and always being alone.

Let me know when. We can read it together.

Not yet. I need to get back into SW books. I haven't read any since June 2012.

^ I haven't read any since last year either. Darth Plagueis was actually the last SW book I read.

I'll probably start Choices of One after finals, so around Dec. 15. What do you think?

Cool! I'll send you a reminder message on FB closer to that date.

I love that we schedule our reading.

Right now I'm reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth. It's the second Divergent book. What's everyone else reading?

Awesome. I am so excited. I love reading books with others.

How is that series? I have friends who rave about it. I downloaded Divergent on my nook but haven't started it yet.

I am rereading Catching Fire. Then I'll go back to reading Ender'd Game. I put it down to reread CF.
Then I'll read Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes.
Then I'll be ready for Choices of One.

I'm excited too.

I really like Divergent. Thus far there's no obnoxious love triangle and I find the main character easy to relate to. The second book isn't quite as interesting as the first.

How do you like Mortal Instruments? I thought they were good, but not nearly as good as people made them out to be. The first one was boresville for me.

Mortal Instruments! I liked that movie which made me interested in the books, mostly for Magnus and Alec. I haven't read them yet though.

Cool. I'll read DIvergent in the new year.

The Mortal Instruments: I like it, but it's not mind blowing or epic.

I wrote a review on my journal.

There is not a lot of Magnus and Alec in City of Bones.
Maybe more so in the sequels

Yeah I figured that, but I did some Googling and it looks like their love story becomes more important in the following books To me they're the best characters.

I've finished the series, and I don't think their relationship ever became important. I like their romance too, but they never got much attention from the author. She was too focused on the weirdness that is Clary (I hate that she named a character after herself) and Jace. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I rented a copy from netflix. I'm excited if Magnus and Alec get attention.
