yeah its feeling better today. i still feel a little something but nowhere near as bad as before.

lindsay i know how that is. my grandmother is still alive too. and is just about blind. but refuses to move in with anyone. she is a very heavy smoker. and a royal pain to deal with. we have to work our schedules around her all the time. adn she usually waits till the last minute to tell us what she wants to do. she prefers to have thanksgiving at my uncles house but he tries to get rid of her as quickly as possible so then she calls us to come over afterwards cuz she doesnt like to be alone. my mom always gets her feelings hurt cuz its always about her brother and she does everything for her. he has nothing to od with her any other time.

At least your mom has help as all of my mom's siblings live out of the country. She's the only who lives here with grandma. Grandma lived in the U.S. before but she's a lot to deal with as she's old-fashioned so she easily gets irritated and is a bit confrontational. So I feel like my aunts/uncles made her go back here so they don't have to deal with her which means my mom ended up taking care of her. I feel bad for mom because she can't really leave and go out and have fun cause grandma is too old and would need care and they don't want to put her in the nursing home nor does my grandma want to go there. She's like better kill me if you'll just put me there, blah blah, you don't even want to take care of your own mother, blah blah.

yeh my grandmother doenst want to go into a home either. and she is mean and very straightforward towards people. she is a very heavy heavy smoker so nobody wants to be around her either.

I know what you mean When my grandmother from my father's side was alive, Christmas was always at her house, but since she died, my mom is the one that hosts it every year (my grandmother from my mom's side doesn't like to host ), so me and my sister always have to help out (I usually am off the hook since I don't cook, but we all the other preparations I have to lend a hand). I actually like that it's held at my mom's because then I get more comfortable being home, but the stress is high

And sorry that your mom is the only one taking care of your grandmother

nope. about the same. the meds they gave me last time didnt really seem to do anything

Si, thanks. It's been difficult as she gets older but I reckon she'll probably live until 100. My other grandma died at 100 years old. When will you get your off days? Are you travelling?

Jen, correct. She's family so we have to deal with her too. It's just the way it is.
