Thanks for starting this Tracey.

Can't believe it's the season finale already! It's gone by far too fast.

This was a strong season finale I thought...

- Nice interlude between Pike and Marie to start
- That is one big Gorn ship
- Erica going on her first away mission!
- Love that Pike commended Erica on her flying
- Spock feeling guilty regarding Christine
- Scotty!!!!!
- See Scotty can get out of any situation..
- M'Benga and Erica reminiscing about Christine
- Did like Uhura and Pelia working together in finding a way to reach the planet
- Spock saving Christine and vice versa reminded me a little of the Paris/Torres scene in Voyager...
- Oh my Marie :eek;
- Scotty being Pelia's best student
- Oh I knew we would get a cliffhanger!!

Strong finale to a good season

Amazing episode. It was awesome to meet Scotty. That actor, he was the same red shirt in the beginning too, that was working with Captain Pattel?

That was a banger cliffhanger, and remember, we have two labor strikes going on right now: writer's and actor's strike. No new season probably won't be for awhile.

LOL at Pike saying at least he wasn't breaking out into songs.
Nice moments between Pike and Marie. Liked the bit about he had to come after her because she hung up on him
Enjoyed seeing Erica have a chance to shine and go on an away mission
Uhura has really stepped up this season and been the one to figure out a solution
Scotty!!!
I hope they can save Marie

Me too
While I hate that it was a cliffhanger, it was a terrific episode

No wonder the cliffhanger glad cause it was a darn good episode after the musical which just couldn't finish got until the chief of security that has something for Kirk did her song after seeing how he had been with #1 just couldn't stomach it

I didn't expect to like the musical, but found I enjoyed it overall. If they had been covering established songs, I probably would have quit. Using lyrics to convey what the characters were really feeing worked for me. Made is seem spontaneous. Not sure I needed all the dancing in it though.

Hegemony was total garbage. I knew I wouldn't like it when the Gorn returned and I didn't. So sick of all this Gorn bull. What's modern Trek's fixation on big wars? Tired of this darker Trek.

I thought Star Trek was getting more realistic instead of the rose tinted glasses utopia we usually get.

Since when is that a good thing? I don't come to Star Trek for realism. If I want realism I can watch a HBO show. I watched HBO shows endlessly for over a decade. I'm tired of that now. I want the optimism and positivity Star Trek is supposed to offer, not this negative crap.

And then there's the cliffhanger ending. Star Trek should be better than that, it doesn't need to stoop to low tactics like cliffhanger endings for seasons, like something you'd get in crap like Smallville. I felt the cliffhanger as a slap in the face and an insult. It's supposed to make you want to watch the next season. It makes me want to avoid the next season.

And these Gorn, totally changed from what they were in classic Trek, they're a cheap ripoff of the Alien franchise. I HATE the Alien franchise. Nasty, mindless crap. We don't need that that in Star Trek. Give me the Gorn from Arena that fought Kirk any day over these new Gorn.

I've liked many episodes of SNW and I like the cast, but the overall background mentality has worried me and now it's come to the fore. It's the same dark, negative mentality that dominated Discovery season 1. Discovery season 2 was better than season 1, but the same mentality was in the background there too, in the foundation. The only new Trek I can embrace wholeheartedly is Picard and that's gone. We'll see what Legacy is like, if it ever gets made. For now I'm seriously thinking of abandoning all Trek shows that are rooted in this pseudo-pre-TOS era. SNW, Discovery and any spinoffs they generate. I can do without them.

I find it very unlikely that any other alien life apart from us is humanoid, which is why I welcomed this different type of intelligence
