So far all the precautions and the organizing seems to be working as far as I can tell from the news. Hope everyone is safe.

*sigh* Let's just say that renting a room based on being told it's almost exactly like the one available to see is a bad idea. Maybe once David gets his things organized, it will seem a bit better. One window is in the bathroom, and the other is on this weirdly angled wall & mostly blocked by trees outside, so neither would be much use as an emergency escape route or provides much of a view outside. At least it's just a month to month arrangement, so Dave can look around for something else. Other than that, the move went fairly smoothly.

Had DnD this past Sunday, so it's pretty good.

Though when the next session will be I dunno, the group is basically falling apart as people are moving, we're working on an online solution.

Glad the move went ok Chris , with the window scenario it's good that's it's a month to month basis

^This (Thanks, Tracey, for saying what I was thinking. I was having trouble composing it into something type-able )

Yeah, he won't have to live there forever But I hate it too when people mislead me. So I understand why you're a little annoyed, Chris.

True. It was a lot easier leaving him at residence the first time than it was leaving him yesterday. Maybe he's getting used to the place, but hopefully he'll be able to find something else before too long.

Laundry. It really seemed to divide and multiply over the weekend.

Something funny happened in class, yesterday. A couple of somethings, actually, but I'll only bore you with one. First, I'll remind you that both of my parents taught school, so no matter where I went, growing up, there was a member or two on the faculty who had worked with or just knew one or both of my folks. Now...both of them retired about a decade ago, but when the professor of the first class I have been a part of in eleven years got to my name on the roll, what did I hear?

"I know your mom!"

I then proceeded to stay up until 5:00 this morning completing the review homework for that class.

Johnnie - just the power out? Any wind damage?

lyb - At least they don't know your kids. Yikes! Sounds like a lot of homework. Hopefully it will go quicker once you have your bearings.

How are you doing today Tracey?

Things must be getting really hectic now that the project is almost completed.

It's really interesting to watch the hummingbirds come to our feeder. The little tykes are quite territorial. One will sit in the neighbour's tree and watch for the other to come, then chase it off.

Evidently so: The stuff I did last night/this morning wasn't needed for class, today. On the other hand, it's all written out, ready to turn in when it is due, so no complaints there. I also really needed the refresher, since the last math class I took was in 1992

Had to about the hummingbirds. My wife puts out a feeder on our front porch, and they do the same thing here
