For example, if players A and B both picked bonus letter 2, and bonus letter 2 was F; then if player A calls for F, he or she gets the points and player B gets to wait until the next puzzle to have a shot at a bonus. If player C calls F, but chose bonus letter 1, player C gets the one point for the letter (no bonus) and both players A and B are out of a bonus for that round.
If you request the letter that matches your bonus number, you get the one point for the letter plus a point value equal to the letter that occurs most in that puzzle.
