Met NV at a Con and she was so was caught up with everything that was going on at DragonCon! LMAO! She was so adorable and I got to tell her that the first moment I saw Kira yelling and screaming at someone I told her, "Yup, she;s my favorite." Her face just lit up!

I saw her on stage last weekend, at FedCon. She is REALLY nice and indeed very passionate about Kira. I think a big part of Kiras strong character is what Nana brought to it.
Like Amanda Tapping and Roxann Dawson (who were also there and great!), she cares a lot about her character and they (actress and character) grow together as persons, influence each other and make each other stronger.
I was really impressed with all three of them!

I've met her several times at Star Trek Cons. I'd second what everyone else said - she is genuinely passionate about Kira. At one con I complimented her on going to bat on Kira's behalf with the writers over them wanting Kira to have an affair with Dukat. Nana's face lit up like a Christmas tree and she went into this big story about how Marc Alaimo was pushing for the affair and their many face-offs about that and how happy she was that she won that battle.

I've also seen her perform with Rene on several occasions, including a performance they did of "Love Letters," and their chemistry on stage is even more intense that what you see on the screen.

Never once have I ever seen Nana or Rene be anything but sincerely respectful of their fans (something that can't be said of all the Star Trek Actors).

If you call a 3,5 hour busride big, then I did.
I did feel lucky to have that many great people at a Con not that far away...

I've never had a BAD experience meeting a Star Trek Actor...... except for William Shatner. That dude looked like he had been chugging prune juice the whole weekend and was in desperate need of a bathroom.... o_O.

I've met:

Rene, Nana, Armin, Ciroc Lofton, Avery Brooks, Kate, Robert Beltran, Garrett, Robert Duncan McNeil (Both McNeill and Garrett carded me because they didn't believe my age) Ethan Phillips, Mirina Sirtis, Michael Dorn (I accidentally feel old) Leonard Nimoy, and William Shatner.

lol, well we are neighbors then! i moved to the Netherlands (neighbor of Germany) 5 years ago and have been searching for Star Trek cons here. the only thing I'd found till now was the Elf and Fantasy fair. I've missed going to cons so much since moving here (was lucky to get to go to 2 cons on my vacation. i used to go to comic con every 4 - 6 months in the US when i lived there. maybe you can point me in the direction of some other cons in the area? but I'll definitely try my best to get to the next fedcon! i assume it's always in Düsseldorf?


lol aww poor guy! i met Shatner once. he was fine then but not wanting to personalize or spend much time on an individual basis. he was also at the con i was at a couple weeks ago. but i didn't bother meeting him again. I'll have to think a bit of all the other ones I've met...

i got carded at a star trek event once...it was a dinner with the 4 captains (except picard wasn't there). all my friends had been served their champagne except me & i finally had to ask for it. the server had thought i was too young but why she didn't ask me i don't know! maybe she didn't speak English because she went straight to the security guard & the guard came & asked for my id lol! one of the only times I've gotten carded.

The first time I was carded was by Garrett Wang, he didn't believe I was 21 so he wanted to see my ID! LMAO! So, I showed him and then he flirted even more with me! LOL!

Then, a few years later RDM was there and Garrett was sitting beside him, and I told him what Garrett had done to me, so Robert had to do the same! LMAO! Garrett got a kick out of it! lol!

The FedCon has been in Düsseldorf for the last couple of years and I suppose they'll stay there fo the next time.
For me it was also only the second Con I've ever been to (first one was the Destination Star Trek in Frankfurt), I don't hink there are that many regular SciFi Cons around here...

At these two Cons I've seen quite a lot of ST actors and I've bought four photos with some of them, but I wouldn't really say I've actually "met" them.

Talked to Nichelle Nichols for maybe 20 seconds, told Alexander Siddig that I loved him on "Spooks", thanked Tim Russ and Brent Spiner for being there...

But of the main casts I've seen: William Shatner, Nichelle Nichols, Brent Spiner, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton, Diana Muldaur, René Auberjonois, Nana Visitor, Alexander Siddig, Nicole deBoer, Armin Shimmerman, Tim Russ, Garrett Wang, Roxann Dawson, Connor Trineer and Dominic Keating

also some recurring actors like Jeffrey Combs, Max Grodénchik, Aron Eisenberg, Alice Krige and more...

I haven't been disappointed, more like the opposite. For example I never found Worf or Harry Kim that interesting, but Michael Dorn and Garrett Wang are such great people in RL! Actually seeing them made me love most of these people more!

Now that I've finished Stargate, I'll maybe find time to watch more DS9, after seeing these great people for real, I might have gotten even more interested.

of course now i see your footer there that says Germany which was probably there all along lol! although the contrast of the dark blue on the blue background is a little hard to read on my tablet. i did see 2 new cons in the NL for next year (Dutch comic con and Imagicon) but so far the guests are no one I've heard of and so far no Star Trek guests yet.

let's see if i can remember the Star Trek celebrities I've met at cons: Rene Auberjonois, Chase Masterson, Majel Barrett Rodenberry, Grace Lee Whitney, Nichelle Nicholls, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, George Takai, Walter Koenig (it was st. patrick's day weekend & my friend & i had just been to the parade. we were still wearing our beaded necklaces. we tried to give some to Walter but he wasn't very interested...was funny though lol!), James Doohan, John DeLancie, Brent Spiner, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden (she loved my TNG painting, even posed a pic with me & the painting, said "hi Bev" to me when she first saw me cuz i was wearing my Dr. Crusher outfit, and she was kind enough to replace my autographed pic of her that i bought earlier in the day after i accidentally set it down on someone elses sticky soda and ruined it during the Q&A...she replaced it at no charge! i still would like to figure out where to write to her to thank her & send some art to her), Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, Johnathan Frakes, Denise Crosby (talked to her but didn't have enough $ to get her autograph), Wil Wheaton (had a nice chat with him about The Pixie's band lol!), Jerry Ryan, Roxanne Dawson, Ethan Phillips, Jennifer Lien, Robert Beltran, Robert Picardo i think that's it. hope i didn't forget any.

have not met but was at a Star Trek 4 captains dinner event with Avery Brooks and Kate Mulgrew (and Frakes & Shatner who i did meet in the past). they were on stage and not signing autographs.

have not met but waved at Garrett Wang and Robert Duncan McNeil as they came out of their trailer while i was taking the back lot tour at Paramount Studios. even though we were not allowed to talk to them or take pictures, it was almost better than any con experience since they were in uniform!!!

i like Stargate SG-1 as well but not an avid fan like Star Trek. i only started watching it when there's nothing else on tv lol! I've only seen a handful of episodes but have not been disappointed.

Love Odo's expression when he sees Lola ... his eyes are just glued to her. Would love to know Kira's reaction if she ever saw Lola flirt with Odo, or if Odo had her deleted from the hologram library.

Yeah, but somehow the real Kira wound up with Lola's dress
