She seemed really calm , which is good for a Captain , but you also need to have the sense of authority that Kate Mulgrew brought to the role.

hmm ... I guess calm is an apt description. I didn't see much chemistry between her and the other characters. Although to be fair, watching some of the first TNG episodes, I found the actors all seemed stiff and uncomfortable with the characters.

Sometimes , I think they were too hard on the Doctor and sometimes he obviously needed to be set straight.

hmm ... I always thought of the EMH & Seven, but you're right, it might have been interesting to pair him with Janeway. They both could be very ... stubborn.

It would have been funny to see the Doctor trying to be more and more like Janeway and then becoming Janeway and the crew not knowing.

If he was Janeway , he would have thought the real Janeway was an imposter. He would have sedated her and put her in stasis.
His medical instruments would have said she was Janeway , so he would have thought the entire command crew was taken over by aliens. __________________
