Which makes for an interesting story I think.

That would give the writers a lot of leeway with the characters. I found the whole idea of Odo being a shapeshifter intriguing. Did they ever do much with the possibilities that opened up? __________________

It certainly did for BSG back in the 3rd season 5 people that were Cylon but we didn't know until the finale. We found out about 4 of them but 1 is still a secret

I'm already getting sad that it's coming to a close.

Did anyone else get freaked out by Kira's apparent religious fetish? She dated two Vedics didn't she?

She did
She's personally my favourite character, but you're right __________________

Oh I'm a Kira fan as well, but that always was odd to me.
I'm starting Season Four this weekend, it's been a long time since I watched it, but I was never a huge fan of bringing Worf onto the show. __________________

Any second impressions of Worf's addition to the cast?

Not really, he's still very boring to me.
I just finished "Rejoined" which is one of my favorite episodes. I loved how it wasn't about Jadzia and Lenora both being female, it was about two reunited lovers who wanted to desperately be together again. It was very touching and I like how it wasn't played up for sex appeal, the kiss was very loving and emotional and wasn't about sex at all. __________________

technology nonsensicalness in ds9
Anyone notice how ship battles in ds9 look like ship have like no shields. It seems a lot of times, ship get blown up with just one shot. Imagine my surprise?
Check out the youtube link to see what I’m talking about: YouTube - Deep Space Nine - The Dominion war normally bigger ships have stronger weapon and shields and smaller ones have weaker weapons/shields. Everybody agree with that assumption? so is it just me or does it just look ridiculous that defiant and two klingon scout class blows up the giant domionion ship? I mean that just look like impossible to me. Anybody feel the directors just got it way wrong? Now I have heard 2 explanations as to why it looks as if ships have no shields: 1. explosion looks cooler than shields gradually weakening my counterargument- you can make it like ship get pounded by like several hits before exploding, that would look more reasonable 2. shields are turn off cuz you don’t want friendly ship hitting one another. my counterargument- that don’t make sense whatsoever. Is collision damage suppose to be affected by shields? Now star trek video games look more reasonable than ship battles in ds9. I played star trek conquest and ship have shield and dreadnogh class take like several hits before blowing up. Now why is it that game designer can get it right and movie directors can’t? |
