I know, she's just so good at capturing their relationship. Not that I know for myself, but it just seems that that's how they would be. And I like the sweeter, fluffier stuff (and angst too), but I don't always feel quite comfortable reading smut where these two are concerned; it depends on the reason for it - I don't like reading smut for the sake of smut, if that makes any sense at all.

Yes, that hug that we discussed happened in an obviously public place, witnessed by many people, and obviously filmed by at least one person. I don't argue that this moment is fair game for discussion. All I'm looking for is that we are all as respectful as we can be in the way that we discuss it. We're a Tessa/Scott board, obviously we want to see them happy (ideally, together), and at the moment, it seems that Jessica is viewed as an obstacle of sorts preventing that from happening. Let's just remember that Scott is with her because he wants to be, and the relationship must make him happy. And I honestly don't feel that it's our place, as fans who truly don't know the situation, to be speculating on how long the relationship my or may not last. I do draw the line at bringing stuff over from facebook, myself. Yeah, it's set to public, and both Scott and Jessica seem to be accepting friend requests with complete abandon, and they expect those that friend them will be looking at whatever they might post. I do not think they expect those people would post their pictures elsewhere. Maybe I'm being totally naive here, but posting their private photos- they're private enough that only friends can see them- to public forums and communities is blatantly disrespectful, to my eyes. Additionally, there are those of us on here- though, obviously I can only speak for myself- who have chosen not to add Scott or Jessica as a friend purely because we don't want to see their photos, or their status updates, or whatever. Personally, seeing these things makes me uncomfortable. Those that have interest in seeing these things ought to just friend them, and then there's no need for that material to be brought over here, because those interested in it already have access to it. As always, this is just my opinion, and there are always going to be differences of opinion, I just thought I'd throw some more thoughts into the conversation. On a completely unrelated note- these votes for Everybody Dance Now are just breaking my heart. It is a simple program by their standards, to be sure, lacking the technical difficulty that sets their dancing apart from others. But this is their story, and I think there's something so wonderful and pure in wanting to tell their own story through an exhibition program, especially since it has been evolving for the last five years, growing and changing as they have. Charting this program through its iterations is truly lovely, and it makes me feel so proud of what they have accomplished as dancers, in a way that no other program of theirs really does. This is the program they chose for when they knew the whole world would be watching, this is what they wanted the world to see of them, and that makes it special. Also, the illegal Goose exit makes it pretty badass. This is so hard. I'm going to have to vote for Assassination Tango this time. __________________

^ No worries Kristen! I hope we keep speeding through them, though it'd be understandable if we weren't quite as fast considering there's nothing new right now. But I always love having pages worth of catching up to do with this thread.

Gladys, I think I get what you're saying- you're only ok if it moves the story along in some way? I'm a bit uncomfortable with TS smut in general, though I'm not gonna criticize anyone who likes it. It's just not my thing.
and Mo, I did vote for Everybody Dance Now and I stand by that vote, but I totally agree with you about watching them develop as dancers through it. I love its combination of sweetness and badassery. Hell, it made it to the final seven, of course it's good! Last edited by hackysack; 05-24-2010 at 11:25 PM |

^ Yeah, exactly. I definitely am not for criticizing anyone either, but sometimes it's hard for me to read even though I know it is fiction.

WOOOHOOO!!!!! TFTNT!!!!
Look at that connection. Now that stuff doesn't grow on trees...you know what I'm saying.... I feel so out of the loop. I left the forum for 2 days to do my essay for uni (just got it in with a minute to spare and did 2000 words in 3 hours. I don't know how I am still standing ) My bit of beef, I love T&S and I respect all of their personal decisions and behaviours eg facebook etc. I fell in love with their ability before I started shipping them as people. I believe that their connection both on and off the ice is incredible however I will not lose sight of the fact that they brought back my love of the sport first. Them being such nice people is just a bonus and something to admire. That is why I speculate and love all the shippyness of this thread! __________________

Well said Amelia! And thanks for those pics!

And the ending pose in Mahler... Still makes me furious when I think about the supposed "new rules" they'll be enforcing, if they go through that is, about kneeling automatically being considered a fall. Hopefully they clear that up and it won't be that ridiculously strict! __________________

I downloaded the full NBC version of the oly free dance, and it has the Scott-tricking-Tessa-that-they-got-second moment in it.
I will try to cut this part out tomorrow and upload it to Rayfile. PS: just finished a huge English project. and it's 3 in the morning...sighs. __________________

Congrats on finishing!!! I keep forgetting how late it must be over there. Its only 10 to 9 here! ETA: Bogolisk I'm pretty sure its both knees, I read the changes (took me forever) and that is what it appeared to be. I think its silly. Where is the creative license? __________________
