Julie Plec gave an interview where she suggested that we might get to know more about the Originals and see some in season 3. I'm hoping Elijah is one of those Originals.

That scene I read this fic today lasciate ogni speranza, a Vampire Diaries fanfic - FanFiction.Net, and I completely fell in love with the idea of this happening. This girl's other EE story, In my mind's eye, Horatio, also portrays them flawlessly. It's twisted and wrong, but it's so damn perfect
