IKR It would be mean of them to never revisit it. But the chemsitry is there. I think it would be unwise of them to ignore the chemistry between these two actors. They at least have to have more scenes together. So far, it seems that, after Britta, Jeff has had the most interaction with Annie (and Abed). I hope this is a trend that continues!

By the way, about the age difference, the actresses playing Annie and Britta are the exact same age!

So hence, I do not see the age as a problem.

And Joel is so handsome and young looking! I thought he was like 30 or even younger!

I've always been a fan of Joel since I watch The Soup all the time. The guy is hilarious. And I was curious about his show!

Watching the music videos and video clips, I'm a total Jeff and Annie shipper!

Do they have a chance to be a pairing? Or is it all about Britta and Jeff? I'm a new fan. So I have yet to see the episodes!

We don't know. Sadly, it seems as if it will be all about Jeff/Britta but we're (I'm) hoping that tptb will capitalize on the chemistry between McHale and Brie, and write interaction for them in future epis.

Yes, in real life Brie is clearly NOT 18 but her character is 18. Which would make her probably, at least, 15 years younger than Jeff. Some people have a problem with that. I'm Jannie-of-the-future shipper, meaning I don't want them together NOW but I want them to grow and mature (they both need to) before they get together. I picture them getting together when she's between 20 and 21. This may never happen though... Even though there is SO much chemistry between the actors. Oh. well.

For me, it's def in the future. I mean, I'm not gonna cry if J/B get together (okay, maybe a little ) but there will always be this looming "IT COULD HAVE BEEN JEFF/ANNIE" and "BETTER" if they don't. I'm definitely in the "now now but in the future" camp with Jeff/Annie. It usually works out better for the couple if the show takes a few seasons to put them together under any circumstances and with the age thing, even more so in this case.

I have a hard time seeing Alison Brie's Annie as eighteen, especially when she let her hair down in Debate. So as they mature the character, I don't think people will think about the age difference as much unless the show focuses on it. She'll start coming off as more of a peer of Britta than significantly younger. Both will look younger than Jeff because Joel is quite a few years older than the two actresses.

The ratings were better when it was on later. They did order a full season but we won't know about a second season until spring of 2010.

Oh yeah, that's fine. Truth is, I never think about the thread "lists" so I never ask to be on them. Usually don't care either way.

Forgot to respond to this. When you watch the episodes, especially knowing what you know now, you'd think they were building up to Jeff/Annie but nope, everyone officially attached thinks the plan is Jeff/Britta and Annie/Troy. That doesn't mean things can't eventually change based on fan response but I don't know what Dan Harmon (the creator) is thinking. Some creators are all about what they want and don't really care about a show's fandoms. Other shows will adapt to chemistry. This is his first show and doesn't really have any patterns when it comes to things like this.

The only slightly disturbing thing is that he claimed to have the least to do with the Debate eppie. But at least he does know of the shipping behind Jeff/Annie. In fact, he learned what the term shipping meant thanks to Jannie. (Or presumably so since he said he just learned what it meant a day or two after the Debate eppie aired when Jannie were hot all over Twitter.)

And Joel was freakin' hilarious on Craig's show. They have such a good rapport.

Honestly, the Jeff/Britta and Troy/Annie set up was completely obvious from the pilot, and I'm not expecting that to be dropped and abandoned. I do, however, believe that the writers will ( or at least SHOULD ) take into account how popular Jeff and Annie became and how much chemistry the two have together for future episodes.
