Yes, me, too! I think Amy's promo is one reason why I wanted to watch the show. I thought that was funny! But Jake's is so.... Jake.

I like when this song is used in videos, it's so uplifting and accurate Love is unexpected, but not out of the blue, it's a gradual process. I'm not a big fan of "love at first sight", I prefer "from friends to something more" and slow burn but not too slow

Yeah, he had a longer hair back then. I usually don't like long hair but Andy is such a cutie and I don't care

I'm just glad he's got shorter hair now. He looked ok back then, but I prefer his look now

How did you and Dan and the other writers approach Santiago so she could become a funny character in her own right and not just the disapproving straight woman for Peralta?
Mike Schur: We were very nervous about her being a killjoy. That's one of my least favorite roles that women fill on TV shows -- the killjoy who tells the goofy fun guy to knock it off. We consciously tried to avoid that dynamic -- we had them like each other, treat each other like peers, seek advice from each other, and (maybe most importantly) we made them both screw up a lot, albeit in different ways. Melissa and Andy make it easy, though, by playing their scenes not like "fun-time Charlie and his mean schoolmarm watchdog" but like two real humans who tease each other. 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' co-creator Mike Schur looks back on season 1 Couldn't agree more, I don't like cliches either. Jake and Amy aren't just a class clown and a teacher's pet but people with flaws. She has low confidence and he's immature and that's what makes them interesting and likeable __________________

I love the way they're portraying Amy! She's not a killjoy and she's not a nutcase. She is absolutely perfect! |
