this. France apparently isn't that strong right now so Francis wants her to do what she needs to do to protect herself/Scotland. But he clearly isn't happy about it... clearly upset when she doesn't tell him that he's wrong about doing whats what is best for her country...

her "maybe you should be unreasonable" cracked me up... more because of how she looked at him more than what she said. She looked a bit irked in that moment.
bringing up the alliance and now suggesting he do something unreasonable, whatever that meant.



More interesting about the clip for me was what Toby said about he and the king's relationship on the show, that the king thinks that Francis might try to over throw him, etc

I do kind of wish they were kind of prolonging this arc a bit. Instead of it being over in 1x04

same here... I mean, if they prolong the engagement because the series sticks around then I imagine there might be other royals as potential suitors for her and maybe Queen Catherine might try to bring in a prospective new royal/princess as a distraction too... who knows.
we know that she's not going to do nothing.

If they are prolonging the engagement. I think this arc would be perfect for it. Considering I can see this arc possibly lasting 3 to 5 episodes, and their will be a lot of drama between Tomas/Mary/Francis.

However, I don't see why Tomas would want to stay in France. Especially if Mary agrees to his proposal.


Honestly I think he was expecting the worst.
