Do you still have your Buffy/Angel fic up somewhere? I'd love to read it sometime. I never really liked anyone else for Angel, and while I did eventually like Buffy and Spike, it was never the same as Buffy/Angel. I hated that college boyfriend character. I can't even remember his name he was so annoying. Buffy and Angel had the ultimate angsty love you/want you/can't be together/star-crossed lovers/soulmates relationship. I remember not being able to wait until the next week's episode. One of the channels has been replaying them recently and there were a couple first season episodes and it just brought it all back. I'm so happy you enjoyed the first chapter of my fic, you're very sweet. I'm not sure when I'll get more up, as things have gotten quite hectic lately and I'm up against getting my Charloe fic exchange finished and I've got to get 'Answers' updated as well as my Shakespeare fic up first. And I can't make promises anymore on deadlines...I always screw up.  But thank you for the lovely comments on my story! |

But Buffy and Angel...they were my original OTP...and the only other reading and writing couple. I ship others, but not to this extent...Buffy/Angel (I hated their nickname, Bangel...ugh) and Charloe... at least I'm faithful, right? LOL As far as the fanfic still being up...I'm not sure...though I save all my writing, so I know I have them, just not sure what sites are still around from way back when. I haven't shared any with Lemon yet cause she and I have just started watching S1 of Buffy, so she has no idea about what's to come and she can't know yet...  |

BTW Icicle, have you seen Gizzi recently? I haven't seen her around much...I hope she's still in the fandom. She needs to come back to BC. I know she used to do the rewatches on the Rev LJ, so I'll see if I can stop by during one and catch her. I love her sense of humor. Quote:

That's when all the drama started happening. And I don't really read the fanfic anymore. Although, I have a whole ton of it saved, just so I would never lose it if I wanted it. I imagine some of those stories are long gone. And actually, it was a B/A site that gave me the idea to do a collab with Lemon, Driver, and Mystic...after the show ended there was a site called Project Paranormal with Buffy, Angel, and Giles living in England and hunting down the paranormal...it was a continuation of the series and they ran it for another 4 years or so...it was so well done, I wanted to do something like that for Revo too. Oh, and I LOVED Doyle. And yes, sadly, they did...almost...pretty much go there with Angel and Cordy...including one moment that may actually beat the Bachel horror as TV moments that left me so devastated for my ship...I almost contemplated stopping watching Angel after it happened. And honestly, I haven't heard from Gizzi in a long time...I just thought she dropped book club. Hope all is OK there. |

Ugh, I'm glad I stopped watching then and missed the Cordy/Angel-ish. That would have been completely not-of-the-fun to watch. And using the Bachel-yuck as a measuring stick, saying it's worse than that, it must have been really awful. I hope she's fine too. I'll investigate and report back. What current Charloe fics are you reading and liking the best lately? |

There are some great ones out there now...well, just read the last two chaps of whynotitsfun's Careful What You Wish For...it's fabulous, but extremely angsty right now...but she is posting rather quickly at the moment, so not a long wait between chapters...Three Magpies just did a really good one that I believe she is planning to continue in the near future called, Ride, Ride My See-Saw. And missdee1986 has finally been updating The Absence of Light, which has gotten spectacular lately. I need to stop reading so much because I owe a few updates myself for Dream and Devolution...and I'm the one who has to write Chapter 6 of our collab, so...that's where we are for that. What about you? Anything good lately? |

'The Absence of Light' is fantastic. I really wish she would update her other two fics as well, but especially 'It's Like a Story of Love'. Lemon's story 'Sins...' is just fantastic and I can't wait to see how she ties it all up. I'm enjoying 'Bassmass! A Holiday Tale' quite a lot. I'm really looking forward to updates from that story. I'll list some of the others: 'Surprises Are Better than Promises', 'In with the New', 'You're So Vain', 'Exit Wounds', Reckless Little Thing', Go on without You', and 'Blackout Annies'. I'm also enjoying the world Banneg created for my gift and has expanded on with a new fic. And of course, 'Evermore' is fantastic! I'm so excited to see what you all do with this. It's going to be epically awesome. So, this collab of yours, will there be smut? I'm shameless, but inquiring minds and all that. I know most of you write it, but Randi doesn't, correct? It might be hard for Lemon and Mystic to avoid smut altogether... |

They did some weird things with the gang...I just wasn't even that interested...although, there was a B/A reunion in the comic book...and that part I did read...you get my Buffy and Angel back together...I'm in...but after that arc, I sort of dropped out again. Hey, at least Buffy and Angel happened...we have to live on dreams for Charloe...though, hey, even if that Bachel nightmare had happened in S3, it is possible it could have led to a Charloe hook up in the next season...who knows what might have happened if the show went 6 or 7 seasons... |

Perhaps they were trying to make it edgy, just for the sake of being edgy, I guess. I never particularly liked when they turned Willow gay, as there wasn't anything in the first three seasons about it, and because I liked her relationship with Oz a ton. I don't have a problem with gay characters, just not when I'm already invested in their heterosexual relationship. How was the reunion? I hope you got everything you wanted! Anything would have been possible for Charloe with a S3 and beyond. It definitely could have happened even after Bachel (blech), like in 'Of Endings and Beginnings'. I just think the writers never had any interest in Charloe; they had a very narrow focus when it came to characters. So while they'd acknowledge it, it was basically just 'yeah, we've noticed the chemstry, but we're smarter than you and are going to do what we want regardless, even if nobody gets it or likes it.' I know that some of the people involved with the show were talking about maybe doing a Rev comic, but I don't even know if I'd be all that invested, especially if Rachel was going to be the star with a panting Bass trailing after her. If it went in a Charloe direction, than hell yes I'd be interested. It wouldn't be the same, but would still be better than nothing. |

I, to this day, cannot watch that Buffy season 2 finale without, well, you know. Heck, the season 1 and 3 ones too. I won't go into much because I don't want to ruin it for Lemon (HOW has she not watched it before now, I'll never know.) And I love the fact that you two are calculating the number of Charloe vs. Miloe stories. That just cracks me up.  |
