oh, I love that scene where Justin comes up with the name...
not to mention the very public kiss at the Kinnetic party. I would have loved it if Brian had said something to Justin, but I loved that kiss just as well. __________________

I think Justin knew him a bit better than Debbie because sometimes even Debbie made mistakes judging Brian.

Justin knew Brian better than anyone, there's no doubt about that. Debbie knew him since he was a teenager, and she knew how difficult it was for him. despite the fact she sometimes misjudged him she knew how difficult it was for him so show emotions. I think she loved to see Brian standing there and kissing Justin, in public.

I think mostly Justin and Debbie knew different sides of Brian. I don't think one knew him better than the other, but just differently. Justin knew Brian intimately and knew Brian as a partner and even caregiver. But Debbie knew Brian as the kid who had no love and only she and Michael did that.

I agree with Manu. Debbie was like the mother Brian never had, while Justin was becoming his partner.
