Some song mysteries can't be solved though, as I've experienced already. For example, the remix of Blur's "Song 2" that David dances to at the King of Babylon contest. I would LOVE to have that, but it doesn't seem to exist outside of the show.
 So it's all the more exciting when we CAN find one.  __________________

Season one is the most nostalgic season out of the entire series because to me, it's very much unlike anything that comes thereafter. It set the tone. I mean, every show that has a first season does the same, but there's something special about this season in particular.

So many great moments in season 1. The King of Babylon. David and Brian's stare-down in Babylon. Brian and Mikey's BFF stuff. Ted's dry wit is established. Emmett and that random guy's hour of romance.
 And the best frickin' pilot I've ever seen. No show has hooked me faster.  If season 3 wasn't so ridiculously magical, this would be my favorite season for sure. __________________

 How did this get so far back already?!  Season one did some adorable film tricks (I'm not really sure what to call it) that other seasons never revived. Example: I believe it's episode 1x10 when Brian gets robbed and Justin runs away to NY? Well I'm talking about stuff like when Michael and Brian are on the phone together, they're on screen with a split screen, and Brian's like "F  k Woodys, I've been robbed. Get your a$$ over here." and it remains on a split screen but you see Michael run off camera on the left side, and hear the sound of his car pulling up a second later, and then see him meet Brian on the right side of the screen.Little film tricks like that were all over this season! And it was part of the early episodes' charm that made me fall in love with the show. This season just had such a special vibe. It would've been interesting to see them continue this trend, at least on occasion.__________________

again. I'll just talk to myself about my season one thoughts.  I always wonder why Brian says, "Who's that guy you drew?" to Justin in 1x06 at the art show. He already saw the drawing in Mel/Linds's house and they have a discussion about it. __________________
