I'm glad you like it. It's mostly the same as the old site but I changed the color scheme, updated a couple of pictures, and cleaned up the look a bit.

I thought a fun way to get back in the swing of things would be to pick out Courtney's house so we have something to visualize while we plan. If you go to eplans, you can search by different criteria and look at floorplans. I put in 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 story, and 1 garage bay since I thought, being an author and business owner, she'd have a nice house but not a huge house. This is my favorite because I like the floor plan. I can see her using one of the spare bedrooms or the bonus room as a home office.

Since we decided her primary job is owning and running a bookstore we should probably name it. We could give it the same name as the show or come up with something new. Personally I like By the Book for the store name too since it's sort of punny - by the book, buy the book

I love the store name idea. It's win. Straight to the point and catchy.

And the floor plan you picked is realyl great. Can I have her master suite?

I'll look later tonight on some.

About the store, is there a vibe that we sort want to have? Like - coffee house book store? or just book store?

For the store vibe, I was thinking sort of homey - the kind of place with comfy chairs, a great children's corner, and host to regular book club meetings.

I like that idea. Kind of like the 'Shop Around the Corner', where maybe Courtney can play storytime lady once a week for little children, if her bookstore holds those kinds of books and a book club is a must. Are there any other workers beside herself there?

I was thinking she could have a weekly story hour for the kids and a monthly book club for the adults. There would have to be someone else working there but I don't know if any of the characters we already have fit.

I don't think any of them really do. Maybe her brother pops in sometimes, but maybe most of the times he's there studying?? Or even Samantha, but yet she's still in school and maybe begs and pleads to go there everyday after school

Sam could work as part-time help if we made her a little older. I see her as the type that would want to make her own money, especially if we follow through on the family dynamic we started developing.

What about Charlie? We wanted to use Drew Fuller so we gave Rhona an assistant but what if he was Courtney's assistant instead? There are probably more uses for him within the setting of the store than there are just carrying papers back and forth for Rhona. That would also let us beef up Rhona's role since we wouldn't be taking from her to give Charlie something to do.

I need another opinion so I can make a decision. What do you think about a Courtney section on the site so we could have separate pages for the store, her writing career, maybe her home, etc.? It's just so much info to fit on a single page like the other characters have.

I added the new section and pages to the site. I didn't know what text to use for the links so if someone has a better idea than what's up, let me know.

It occurred to me earlier today that discussions would be smoother if everyone had all the old info. I saved the previous thread so everything is here in a 47 page Word document.

I'd love to get this going again but we got so far off track. What do you think about starting over but keeping the name, premise, and the main characters and cast? We could keep the basics but redo the rest.

Awesome! I think we should definitely keep CC (of course), HMC, and Scott Speedman as far as the cast goes and their characters are pretty good. I love the title and the book store idea. What else should we keep?
