Well I'm more partial to femslash.net, but if the other one is cheaper or something then I saw we go that direction. Anybody else wanna weigh in on this?

I was up thinking last night about the main graphic for the femslash site and came up with a neat idea. I was thinking instead of putting various girl/girl shiping pics, we could just find a picture of the "girl" symbol like they have on ladies rooms and such and just put two of them together maybe holding hands. Something simple, maybe the universal sign for women or something. I was thinking about going a more easy route than a collage or pics. Any thoughts?

I've been tooling around with logo designs all afternoon while waiting for my step sister to return my PSP so I can really start moving.

I'm checking all over dafont.com for some generic girl fonts or icons. Once we get going, I'll provide a few logos we can choose from and so forth.

I'm also going to make a mock-up of what my ideas for the front page might look like. I'll have to wait until I get my PSP back to do it, but I just wanted to start throwing around ideas.

ETA: What were you thinking color scheme wise? Maybe the traditional pink and purple, denoting lesbian and bisexual symbols?

As for color scheme I was thinking pink/purple/white, so semi traditional.

I do see a small downside though, there's a $25 dollar setup fee, whereas Influxhost has none whatsoever. There also might be a way to get a custom plan with them as well, I could check into that.

As for the logo, I really like it Nikki. Although the one thing that is a little....off is it looks a tad like a porno, with the trucker's mudflap quintessential curve girl off to the side.

As for fonts, I like the one you used. I've always like the Romeo font as well, it's what I use for my site. But it's a little on the harder side.

Well I think the cheapest one works well since we have no idea how much space we are going to be using. We could always buy more if the site takes off. Shannon what do you think?

As for the logo, yeah the trucker thing came to mind. I'm still looking for a decent girl/girl symbol at the moment. I'll be looking into Romeo and do some logos with it as well.

Well Google popped up quite a few returns just typing in Lesbian symbols, so maybe you want to dig around further than I did with the links I mentioned.

The only thing I don't like about the logo is that it's a little jagged around the edges... But I nitpick.

As for the domains, I think this one:

Sounds great. The "reseller" one you mention would be pretty cool. But I say get whatever you want, because... Well, it's your money. I'm just code-girl.

I was actually thinking that it would probably be the better idea too, to go with that one. 25 seems like a BIT much per month just for starting out. If it takes off, then we can always upgrade.

I started thinking about it and I forgot that I had a feature turned off in PSP so that would explain the rough edges. Duh Nikki, lol.

And I agree with the both of you on the package deal there. Sounds like a good idea and if we get thousands of hits and the site is huge, then we can upgrade.

I was thinking that we could set up a donation thing too to have on the page if it takes off. I mean it never hurts to have some extra cash around for site stuff and especially if we have to upgrade alot.
