It was announced 2 weeks ago.

And because of Alex becoming popular on Supergirl, a character like Alex will be in the movie. Kara will have a sister, not sure of her identity yet.

So, this will be the second time we see Kara with a sister thanks to the popularity of Alex Danvers. I'll give you .5 though because Alex wasn't mentioned, just Kara having a sister.
