That is correct. James (Potter) showed Dumbledore the cloak and he asked James if he can study it.

Yeah, I got to that part the other day, James did give Dumbledore the cloak. But I don't remember him asking James if he could study it. Where was this?

Deathly Hallows (sorry that crossed over on this thread). I'm a bit hazy right now but it has to do with Aberforth's story on how DD was hunting for the Hallows during his youth with Grindelwald. When James gave it to him, he studied it and probably intended to give it back but it was too late.

I like the cover too. Although I still prefer all the original UK covers.

Re Cover: Awesome new illustration!

Re Tweet: Ah, that looks so creepy. But it is a brilliant illustration, and that happens to be my favorite shade of purple. Is this in the coloring book?

I would like to buy that illustrated edition. J.K. Rowling is making me spend too much money.

I agree, it's very creepy. And no, it's on the Illustrated Edition of PS/SS which they're releasing on October 6, 2015. It's the same book just with a different cover because I don't think some of the bookstores now sell the old UK/USA (original) covers.
