I hope we get a lot of scenes of Leta in the movie. If not, then there's always the rest of the films to develop the character.

Looks like it though in the cast promo pic they released, Jude was also wearing some kind of robe but I can't tell if it's a muggle robe or a robe used for Hogwarts.

Yes, you said that they mentioned his brother at the MACUSA when Newt was taken in right? So they know who his brother is.
