I guess for one thing it's an anagram of Tom Marvolo Riddle.

In the films they've bene pronouncing his name wrong. The "t" is suppose to be silent.

Yeah, it's Tom Marvolo Riddle anagram but Jo must have planned it first. Wonder if she comes up with Lord Voldermort first or Tom Marvolo Riddle first. I'm being obsessed, I know. But it's good to think about it.

Of course they know it's French. Rowling knows French. I think it's an English thing, to anglecise (sp?) a forigen word. So they pronounce the "t".

Did Ralph pronounce 'Voldermort' with the 'T'? I couldn't recall whether he has dialogue that requires him to say the name. That would be hilarious, Voldy not knowing how to pronounce his own name.

Yeah, fans keep saying he was stupid, I say overconfident. He did have a hand in slaying Dumbledore and took over the Ministry and therefore the Wizaridng World. That's not stupid.

It just tells that Dumbledore is a far genius than Voldermort. Hogwarts exam must have been a walk in the park for Dumbledore while he was in school. Wonder what his best subject was.

Rowling has created a great character in Dumbledore. Transfiguration - yeah, he was the Transfiguration Professor before while Riddle was in Hogwarts.

and I think One of the O.W.L. examiners tested him for Transfiguration. Did things with the wand she never seen before. She must be really old because Dumbledore lived to 116.
