Yes it's different. In the movie, Snape told Harry he's the Half-Blood Prince. In the book, it was Harry himself who found out who the HBP was.

You mean from the way they did it in the book? I think movie-wise that'll be hard to do but I think it's still possible. I'm not sure how but they're the movie makers so they should know how.

I really love how Harry found out in HBP because I too was as surprised as him. In the movie, Snape telling him he was the HBP was anti-climactic imo but then again I have read the books so I knew what to expect.

That's my plan to and that's why it's my priority to re-read the books first then watch the HP movies afterwards.

Honestly, I would finish first book then film then go w/ second book to film, etc..
