Ah just for the stand-ins, of course, for the movie so Dan or whoever has a scene with Dobby have a point of reference. Dobby is voiced by the actor Toby Jones - I just checked now.

So we were talking about this on the Shippers thread, kind of OT so I want to bring it over here. Dobby was one of the minor characters in the books. I remember JKR insisted that he be introduced in CoS. I can't remember and verify if this was true but I read somewhere that they were planning to cut Dobby off in the films but JKR did not want that. And she was right because he made the ultimate sacrifice in DH.

He was a sweet character, it woke to be the same without Dobby!
I like to think if he had lived he would have become Harry and Ginny's house elf. Though only cuz he wanted to be with them! __________________

I like that. I also think he would either serve the Potters (Harry & Ginny) of the Weasleys (Ron & Hermione). They'd be good to him.

I'm not sure if the Malfoys (Draco and his wife) would have treated him the way the Potters or the Weasleys would have. The Malfoys are not really fond of elves.
