It's so true. Buffy's fire and inner light strengthened the embers still surviving in Spike. She helped to reignite his own flame, which was trying to stay lit amidst the darkness of soullessness, vampirism, and the mentorship of the Aurelius line. And the heat between them stoked the fiery depths in both of them.

All of the love and lust euphemisms regarding fire and sparks are true with Spuffy. Sparks did fly. Touching did cause them to ignite and flames to appear. He did burn for her. He did stop her from burning up.

Looking at the OP and those gifs are amazing! How are those even made?

And the "their story" collage art almost made me cry. I feel like it's missing a few moments but still so effective.

The way he says his lines here, especially the "you know I love you" part, always gets me. It's so sincere, like he's stating that the sun sets at night. He's so open and no one can deny that his love for her is real.
