Buffy Summers Appreciation Thread: She Knows How To Kick Butt and Look Good
I know that we all love our dear Buffy Summers. Here was a girl who knew how to kick butt and be able to look good (and wear cute clothes) while doing.
Seriously, I love having a character to look up and in my mind both are Buffy Summers and Sydney Bristow. Mainly because both are strong females who don't take crap. They do things there way and succeed. Join me in the Buffy lovin'. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] __________________

Hee count me in for the Buffy lovin'. I have loved this character from beginning to end. She is my all time favourite TV character!
Oh and I'm with ya on the Sydney loving tooo! Hee. There should of been a crossover episode! __________________

Sydney...? Yeah, she is cool, but to be honest, never much got into Alias. Did for a while, but not so much....I missed the season finale. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img]

Omg the ALIAS season finale kicked some mother *****ing ass! Hee! The ending killed my little Syd/Vaughn heart!
So convo starter, what was your favourite Buffy moment? I think mine would have to be in Becoming Part 2, when she is fighting Angelus, and he says to her "So thats everything huh? No friends, no family, no hope... take all that away and whats left?" **then he spears the sword strait at her face and she catches it in her hand opens her eyes and says** "Me". So *****ing awesome! I know its not much, but I just love that scene to death. And Sarah was fabulous in that scene, hell the whole episode. I think that's probably my defining Buffy moment! Aw, I wanna see the Alias finale now.... [img]smilies/bawl.gif[/img] Samii - was it as good as...Becoming? Choose your words wisely, girl. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]
Fave Buffy moment? Yeah, gotta be Becoming. Becoming is like my fave everything. That moment Samii mentioned is right up there, and of course the heartbreaking B/A moment - but let's just keep it to Buffy herself. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] Also love Prophecy Girl, when she chucks a fit and beats the master, and the Gift...and Chosen (the last scene when she's 'free'...) Her rant in Prophecy Girl is probably the moment I knew this show was 'more than a show'...that bit probably got me REALLY hooked (though 'Angel' a few episodes before probably did that to me first [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img] ) But my fave is probably...When she was bad. I don't know why, but when she smashes the Master's bones and cries in [img]smilies/sigh.gif[/img] Angel's arms....so vulnerable...probably my fave Buffy moment. I don't know why. [img]smilies/look.gif[/img] Woops, nope...I just thought of one that probably beats that....the Prom. [img]smilies/sigh.gif[/img] When she gets her cute 'Class protector' gift, and everyone's clapping. That's probably my fave. Oh, I don't know. It changes like everyday. My fave buffy moments, well i dont know the names of the episodes, but u guys will know what i mean when i tell u, fave buffy moments. when she became the slayer when she meets angel, when her and angel makes love for the first time. when she spike also slept together. The prom, when angel shows up... graduation.... i have so many but i cant name them all. __________________

That scene in "Propechy Girl"..wow. I still am in awe of that scene every time I see it. She did such an amazing job, one could really feel for Buffy. It's not easy finding out that you're destined to die..not that I would know, but you get my point. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Yeah, that is a great scene. We had a Buffy special on a little while back, and it was basically a whole bunch of professional TV people and critics raving about BTVS. And they were saying how "its criminal that that girl (smg) wasn't nominated for an Emmy" and how that moment in Prophecy Girl, that was when they realised that "Wow, this girl, can like really act" - You know not just another pretty face...
It was really good actually, they did a section on the B/A saga, the show in general, SMG and then BTVS on the net. So yeah, I wish I hadn't taped over it! __________________

The character I have cried the most for and with in my entire TV history, is Buffy! Sarah is just fantastic in those crying scenes. That scene in 'Forever' is frillin' brilliant. I could just rewatch that all the time.

What are some of ya'll fave Buffy one liners? The one that at the moment immediately springs to mind is in 5 of the first season. When she is in the cafeteria and her and Cordelia both walk up to Owen at the same time, and Cordelia bumps Buffy out the way and all her food spills to the floor. And then Owen reaches down to help Buffy and Buffy is all "Boy, Cordelia's hips are wider than I thought". Hee, such a good insult. __________________
