For More Gilmore Girls #2 (formerly 'Save GG') - 'Cause It Deserves A Proper Ending

The first thread was titled 'Save GG' and was dedicated to saving GG from cancellation. But the show has not been renewed, therefore fans continue to campaign to try and get something extra, anything, even just a TV movie.

Here is the place to show our interest and support for the show and the people behind it, creator, writers, actors, studio, etc., to hopefully get us extra GG time for a better suited series finale. Here you can post anything involving this cause: articles, interviews, petitions, advertising fanart, letters/emails you have written to someone on or involved with the show, sites (livejournals, myspaces, etc), news and more - anything to do with Gilmore Girls' revival.

While S8 looks like a long shot I still hold hope for a TV movie.

Not yet. We just hit 9,000 signatures yesterday I think and we are waiting for another thousand before we send it. :)

It is sad that only 9000 have signed when you see the numbers Jericho got.

Maybe things will come into play next season, if AiA doesn't get a second season, AB can't get the work she wants and the NBC deal falls through for Lauren.

and yeah S8 doesnt seem likely but we have to pray for that movie. this show deserves a better ending.

Got a snipit of news concerning the Mandate.
savethelorelais.org has now gone Myspace. You ask why? :eyebrow: Well let me tell you! :)
With only 900 signatures left to get by november, we decided that Myspace was the best way to get them. Myspace is a very popular online group. Almost everyone has one including probably almost every Gilmore Fan around. Sadly it's been very hard to get signatures from GG fans and that is mostly because more then half of the fans don't even know the petition or campaign is going on. Heck fans are STILL just finding out GG is gone. They are going to fansites and asking what happened to the show and why it's not on on tuesday when they flick on their tv's. Pretty sad. :no: So what better way to spread the word about our campaign then Myspace?

So basically what we are trying to do is friend as many GG fans as we can. If they get a friending request, of course they are going to check the page out first before friend right? If they choose not to friend back because they don't believe in our cause, thats fine, at least they are checking out the page and given the choice right? But if we end up finding fans that want more GG, haven't signed the petition and haven't heard about the site, how awesome would that be to let that extra person know about us?

So basically what I'm getting at with this very long (but necessary) post is that we would love your help with this. Is it bad promotion by the CW or are these real fans, being outside the US it's hard to tell how much fans had been told back in May but we get some stuff here about it ending, not much but some.

I've had the CW/Warner Bros news release headlining my site since it was released so I'm doing my part, I hope.

BTW, there's a clip on youtube of Carole King in concert, singing 'Where You Lead', where she replaces some of the lyrics with a GG reference:
