Luke and Lorelai are so cute I loved all the wedding talk in the beginning and standing under the Gazebo and talking about kids. I am glad they didn’t decide not to get married in the first few episodes.

I kinda like that the judge didn’t give Rory any special treatment just because she is rich and white. 300 hours of community service and no jail time etc is not bad for her stealing a boat!

It was sad watching Lor sit in Rory’s empty room. But it really doesn’t have to be this way. Lorelai could just be a supportive mother.

Emily was so rude to the maid, holy hell. Thats one thing I hate about Emily.

Poor Rory finding out about the engagement from Luke and not her mom. That must have felt pretty crappy.

I do like that LL decided to keep Lor’s house.

I started re-watching season 6 tonight too

definitely agreed with the community service part

what the judge said about special treatment was really on point

hmmm I’m definitely on Lorelai and Paris’s side when it comes to Rory quitting Yale...but I do think that Lorelai should’ve made more of an effort to get Rory to stay in school

yeah that was a nice moment with Rory and the maid

happy that Paul Anka’s finally here too

I guess they needed something to cause a rift between the girls. Since their relationship was always solid before that. So it may have been a little contrived.

I just dont think its worth losing your daughter/communicatin with your daughter because you are upset she wants to quit school. Its her life and her decision. Its not something to cut her out over. Maybe try talking to her and try understanding her?

I mean I totally get why Lorelai is upset and think she’s justified in not wanting to talk to Rory

when I get upset with people I freeze them out/give them the silent treatment too sometimes

it’s totally normal behavior

I just really feel for Lorelai especially when we get to 6x08

maybe for a day but its her daughter. her relationship is way more important than school imo. and Lorelai often acted like a child when she was the adult and needed to be the mature one and the bigger person. She expected so much from Rory, who was still young and growing up.

And imo it was hypocritical of Lor when she had parents who never listened an always wanted to control her life, and here Lor is doing it to Rory.
