I really hope Scott stays I couldn't imagine Luke and Lorelai not together it would be sad.
I hope ASP is right that everything will work out and he will stay,I disagree with Scott I don't think Gilmore Girls would be the same without him,I suppose it could go on but it just wouldn't be the same. Oh man that sucks that some people missed that last 27seconds of the show, the WB should have warned the viewers that is would run a little longer. __________________

Okay I was going to post the original ratings article that Variety posted but they have since revised the Total Viewers figure for Gilmore Girls (originally they stated the finale had 5.60 million viewers).
In Tuesday's opening hour, "American Idol" (10.4/29 in 18-49, 24.98 million viewers overall) towered over the competishcompetish, matching the 18-49 delivery of the other five broadcast nets and up 8% year-to-year. The WB's "Gilmore Girls" had a solid outing with its season finale (2.5/7 in 18-49, 5.89m), placing second to Fox among adults 18-34 and young women. That is its best turn-out since Wedding Bell Blues. Below is a full list of ratings for the year. Ep 1 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 5.7/ 8; A18-49: #4, 2.5/ 8 - #4 Viewers 6.20m) Ep 2 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 5.9/ 9; A18-49: #4, 2.7/8) Ep 3 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 6.0/ 9; A18-49: #3, 2.5/7) Ep 4 - Gilmore Girls (#4: 5.3/ 8; A18-49: #4, 2.6/ 7) Ep 5 - Gilmore Girls (#5: 5.2/ 7; A18-49: #5, 2.4/ 7) Ep 6 - Gilmore Girls (#5: 5.2/ 7; A18-49: #5, 2.5/ 7) Ep 7 - Gilmore Girls (#5: 5.8/ 8; A18-49 Ep 8 - Gilmore Girls (#4: 5.6/ 7; A18-49: #5, 2.8/ 7) Ep 9 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 5.7/ 8; A18-49: #4, 2.7/ 7) Ep 10 - Gilmore Girls (#4: 5.6/8; A18-49: #4, 2.7/7) Ep 11 - Gilmore Girls (#4t A18-49: 2.3/6 - Viewers 5.04m) Ep 12 - Gilmore Girls (#4t: 4.5/6; A18-49: #5 2.2/6 - Viewers 5.2m) Ep 13 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 5.0/7; A18-49: #5 2.8/7 - #3 Viewers 6.26m) Ep 14 - Gilmore Girls (#4: 5.0/7; A18-49: #3 2.3/6 - #4 Viewers 5.29m) Ep 15 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 5.0/7; A18-49: #4 2.3/6 - #5 Viewers 5.37m) Ep 16 - Gilmore Girls (#3t: 5.2/8; A18-49: #4 2.3/6 - #5 Viewers 5.42m) Ep 17 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 4.9/7; A18-49: #4 2.4/6 - #4 Viewers 5.34m) Ep 18 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 4.3/7; A18-49: #3 2.1/6 - #5 Viewers 4.82m) Ep 19 - Gilmore Girls (A18-49: #4 2.4/7 - Viewers 5.52m) Ep 20 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 4.9/7 A18-49: #3 2.3/6 - Viewers 5.41m) Ep 21 - Gilmore Girls (#3: 4.7/7 A18-49: #3 2.2/6 - #4 Viewers 5.14m) Ep 22 - Gilmore Girls (A18-49: #3 2.3/6 - #3 Viewers 5.89m) Bold indicates highest audience / total viewers - Italics highest 18-49 rating. __________________

Oh no! I don't want Scott to leave before the end of the show. I think he's wrong, the show would not be the same without him. Luke and Lorelai are a major part of the show. I certainly hope he sticks around!

The info about Scott is in TV Guide's Ask Ausiello Column.
Updated Chicago Tribune article about the show going over time. Now if WB were smart they'd air it in rebroadcast the ep in Sweeps to try and boost its audience. Viewers' anger running over Fans frustrated after `Gilmore' goes long Maureen Ryan Published May 19, 2005 The last scene of "Gilmore Girls" season finale Tuesday contained an important marriage proposal. But many fans of the WB show didn't see it. According to a WB spokesman, the show ran over its allotted time slot by 27 seconds, not counting final credits. Viewers who had set their VCRs or digital video recorders to tape the show for exactly one hour didn't get all or part of the final scene, which took place between Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her boyfriend, diner owner Luke Danes (Scott Patterson). The WB's executive vice president for network communications, Brad Turell, said Wednesday that the network will rebroadcast the entire "Gilmore Girls" finale in the next two weeks. The date of the rebroadcast will be decided in the next few days. "We feel silly. It shouldn't have happened, but it did," Turell said of the unscheduled overtime. He added that the finale might be made available on the WB's Web site. In the meantime, Chicago fans of the show can catch the final scene on the WGN Morning News on Monday. The Luke-Lorelai scene will be broadcast some time between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on WGN-Ch. 9. The rebroadcasts should come as welcome news to fervent "Gilmore Girls" fans, who were posting messages at TheWB.com and TelevisionWithoutPity.com on Wednesday, venting their frustration at having missed the most crucial moment of the season. __________________

I saw it last night and it ended 5 minutes before the hour, went to commercial and then came back and ran the credits, the proposal was in there too...

I can't envision a Luke-less GG, just give the guy a much deserved raise and be done with it

Alexis Bledel is on the cover of Fashion 18 (Canadian teen mag) with Amber Tamblyn. I just browsed through the mag. The article talks about their friendship that blossomed while doing TSOTTP. They seem to have hit it off wonderfully. AT was particularly proud that she got AB to join a breakdancing contest at a club in Vancouver where they shot TSOTTP. Knowing how painfully shy AB is, AT somehow managed to “coax her out of her shell” and was delighted to see AB doing some footwork on the dance floor then tried to do a turtle spin. AB, who felt sore afterwards, says her motivation was the prize. She says "I just wanted to win the t-shirt for my boyfriend". Well, she didn’t win the contest but AT was proud of her friend’s gutsy moves which the rest of the TSOFTP cast and crew apparently could hardly believe AB doing after being told about it on set the next day. I'm still trying to picture AB doing a turtle spin on her back. Can't imagine this, much less her dancing in public. AB and AT seem to enjoy each other's company.
