Is it really that surprising? It's the Teen Choice Awards. Most of the nominees are the younger cast members on the show. And with the exception of The OC, only one pair of characters was nominated from each show. I would never have expected to see Lauren/Scott up there over Alexis/Matt. And remember, the TCAs are just fun. The "trophy" is a surf board, after all. Don't take it seriously.

However, you can't just ignore the sparks between Scott & Lauren when they're acting their characters out.
No matter how fun or unimportant a nomination might be, it should have worthy candidates!
I mean Mischa can't even act(no offence)!
How can she have any chemistry with anyone?

Luke/Lorelai are very popular among GG fans, but I don't think anyone can correctly assume that everyone sees chemistry between the actors and their characters. Nevertheless, I don't think their absence from a category in the TCAs is a denial of chemistry between the actors. It's just a nomination, and most of those nominated play teens or college students, most likely because the awards show is aimed at the 13 - 19-year-olds crowd. There are only so many people that could be nominated, and Teen People and Fox are going to nominate those that they think will most appeal to teens.

No matter how fun or unimportant a nomination might be, it should have worthy candidates! I mean Mischa can't even act(no offence)! How can she have any chemistry with anyone?

I'm sure Mischa's fans would disagree.

Seriously, it's just a the TCAs. If you don't like anyone in a particular category, just close your eyes and choose or try to choose the one you dislike the least. I understand disappointment in Scott and Lauren not being nominated, but it is a teen awards show, and it's just for fun.
